It was a day that began quite awkwardly. There were so many errands my Mom and I were running, but not enough time to get it all done, in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday. Better yet, Alfred was going to be at my home so we could prepare a few dishes together. Well, in the midst of dealing with so many frustrations, Alfred called to let me know he was on the way and that he was 20mins away. He was 2 hours earlier than planned. Therefore, I quickly lost the reason to continue running errands. My baby was near. So we continued our convo with me venting about my crazy day, as we made our way home. During the call, Alfred kept asking for my whereabouts, I kept answering nonchalantly. A little before we exited the highway, he stated that he arrived at my house and I told him to enter with a code so he could begin cooking. He asked again how far we were away. I ignored the question as the three of us continued talking, joking, and laughing. As we pulled up to the driveway, I saw him kneeling. with my ring in his hand, in the middle of my yard. I screamed for my Mother to stop the car!!! But, I didn't wait. I jumped out of the car before she stopped, and I ran to him!!! He had the sweetest words that I can't even recall. All I remember is saying Awwwww babe and holding back tears. Then he asked the question, we have been waiting for... Will you do the Honor of being my Wife? And I definitely said YES!!!!
