My younger brother, and my first friend, who has been by my side since childhood. His unwavering support, loyalty, and humor have enriched my life in countless ways. I can remember us as kids just being crazy and goofy, like recording dances so we could become YouTube famous. And now I'm sitting here typing this for my wedding day. As best friends for 15 years, choosing Simrin as my bridesmaid was a heartfelt decision! We journeyed through middle, high school and college together. We have many fond memories, especially during college (let's not forget how ODURent tried to kill me, you, and Kemi in that tiny apartment!). I remember when we would watch YouTube videos and laugh for hours and our trips to the dining hall where we would talk about everything! We have a special bond that I will always cherish. Cayla, my favorite younger cousin! She has been a big part of my life since childhood. I can literally remember when she was born! Sometimes, I can still see my little cousin that loved Finding Nemo and Monster's Inc. As the younger cousins, we were always close. I value our shared summers at Gabriel Lane, riding around with grandma and playing on the PlayStation. I have so many fond memories with Cayla, and always envisioned her having an important role in my wedding and the perfect addition to my bridal party. Love you, Cuz. My oldest friend since middle school. He's always smiling, laughing, joking, and goes out of his way to make people laugh. Our shared experiences in cross country and track, where he continually encouraged and pushed me, are cherished memories, even though I couldn't run as fast as him! He is another close friend that I consider like a brother. On this special day, I am glad to include him as my groomsman, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm thrilled to have Marquise, one of my wonderful older cousins, as one of my bridesmaids. I recall spending summers at grandma's house with Marquise and doing all of the fun activities that cousins do. I can recall Marquise always dancing. She would move the furniture around and make room to dance for hours. Then, we would finish the night in the den watching tv. I've always admired her tenacity and outspokenness. My uncle Mtume, the one and only! He's been there for me since birth and has always been a father figure to me. Another one of my amazing older cousins! She is incredibly grounded, hardworking, and always the first to provide her family with unwavering support. Kristle is always rallying our family together for family vacation and planned one of our best trips to Myrtle Beach some years ago (Kristle, please plan another trip!). I’ve always admired her positive energy and beautiful spirit. Kristle is also known for her nurturing nature; I'm told that as a baby, she was the first to offer comfort whenever I cried.
