By modern standards, Adriana and I met the old fashioned way... on the internet. I am not going to lie, the dating pool on this particular site left a lot to be desired and (as most stories go) I was just about to quit it altogether when I found Adrian's profile. I would like to say that he said hello first, but it was I that initiated contact with a simple "Hello". To my surprise (given my profile talked a great deal about my love for unicorns, Harry Potter, and Doctor Who), he responded back to me and we talked. After a couple of missed opportunities, we finally met in person at Lake Hefner. I think we were both nervous but we wound up talking for hours. It was when I mentioned that we had never been to the moon and he looked at me and said "well, we are all entitled to our opinions even if they are wrong" that I knew he was a keeper. Ever since that day, it has felt that our story was written in the stars just for us.
The first time Adrian proposed, we were on top of a mountain watching the sun rise. I was standing in front of Adrian and he had his arms wrapped around me. It got a little cloudy and we thought that maybe we wouldn't be able to see it, but... as luck would have it, the sun came out from behind the clouds. It was a beautiful moment made even more special when Adrian whispered into my ear "Will you marry me?" I, of course, said yes and we eloped the next day. The second time he proposed, we were on vacation at Beaver's Bend and we had went for a night hike. The stars are amazing there. We laid down in the middle of the street and looked at all the constellations and talked about how beautiful it was to see them so clearly. When we got up from laying in the road, I was still pointing out different stars when Adrian began to sing Coldplay's "Yellow". I turned around and he was on one knee and stopped singing to say "We have waited a lifetime for this love. Will you marry me again?" Naturally, i said yes.
