I saw Addison for the first time back in November of 2018. I had just graduated from the University of Denver with my Masters in school counseling and was going in for my first official interview at Goal High School. I walked into the building, not really knowing anything about this particular school. It was an online school and it was set up like an office building with desks all along the outside wall. It had a little office right in the middle of the space. As I walked in for my interview, I looked at the person standing at the first desk to my right. I saw the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life. I looked over, obviously nervous for my interview, and she looked up and cracked a small smile and then went right back to her work. My heart stopped. At that moment, I knew that if I was lucky enough to be offered the job, I was taking it no matter what. I had to see her again. As fate would have it, I was offered the position. Unfortunately, it was not at that particular location. I was not going to be seeing her every day. I would get to see her only a couple times a school year, if I was lucky. Flash forward to August 13th, 2021. My friends and I had tickets to the Wu-Tang concert at Red Rocks. Wu-Tang was playing with the Colorado Symphony and it would have been my first time seeing the legendary hip-hop group. I found out the day of the concert that a co-worker was having a going-away party...and Addison was going. I text my friend and told him that I was selling my ticket. He was not happy. But, I told him the girl I liked was going to this event and this might be my only shot to hangout with her. The rest is history. I love you Addison Capps. I still have not seen Wu-Tang to this day...
