My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Windows on the Water at Frogbridge last month (May of 2024) and the team went above and beyond at the wedding. We wanted somewhere with natural beauty rather than somewhere over the top(with both indoor and outdoor spaces), lots of trees for shade, and great service and food. In August 2023, I met with Jim with my future sister in law whose kids go to the summer camp (a very fancy one lol) who gave me a tour of the Frogbridge grounds and I immediately fell in love and knew that it was the place for us. When I reached out a few days later to discuss dates and tour with my husband, they told me the space would be ours for the entire day which is so unlike many venues that have multiple weddings in one day. Also, all pricing is visible online so there were no surprises there. Another thing that made this choice more affordable was we were able to work with a local vendor for alcohol. The vendor returned all unopened cans/bottles after our wedding so we were only charged for what was used. In the winter we did a tasting which we could bring 4 more guests to. This was the only thing we were hesitant about because we booked before tasting the food. The experience was super easy and fun- we were able to taste most of the menu offerings and make our selections with our friends. We’re so happy we took a chance because the food, especially the day of the wedding, was amazing! On our wedding day, WOTW Coordinator, Colleen, made everything so easy- from making sure staff was at our beck and call (my wedding party and immediate family were seriously blown away), making sure our decor was perfect, and organizing on the fly when it was officially raining for the whole day (we weren’t even disappointed when Colleen reassured us and proved to us that everything would be perfect). She was awesome and we loved working with her! not only did the staff cater to us, the bride and groom - but they really made everyone in our wedding party, our families, and friends feel like they were receiving the best service. Our friends and family raved about the food and how beautiful the venue was. They loved sitting in the tent looking at the beautiful lake. We highly recommend this venue!

BRIDES BEWARE!! This venue does not have a back up generator for AC. We were very disappointed with how the staff navigated an emergency AC situation at our wedding. We inquired about the possibility of the AC breaking with the catering director Jim, and he told us that it was not possible for this to happen. Alas after years of planning and preparation, it is a very hot day and the AC is broken. Jim just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do after bringing in a repair man 30 minutes before my ceremony start. We asked if it was possible to get emergency fans since we still had 2 hours until reception time, and they refused to help accommodate the situation. As a result, many of our friends and family were unable to dance at our wedding because they were overheated and uncomfortable. My fiancé could not stay on the dance floor the entire night with me because he was feeling faint from the heat. He had to ask staff for water 6 times before receiving a glass. And instead of enjoying my wedding day, I had to work with my amazing DJ to come up with other ways to entertain my 220 guests. We were lucky we had some friends and family toward the last hour of the night suffer through and dance with us for our last few songs getting completely drenched in sweat. If it wasn’t for them, our wedding would have been completely ruined with no help or support from the WOTW staff. On top of all of that, not once did Jim come to me or my fiancé to apologize for the situation. For anyone who is thinking about booking their wedding at this venue, if the staff runs into an emergency, they will not do what it takes to alleviate the situation. They will shrug their shoulders and say “oopsie” when there is a major problem at the venue instead of trying to help on the most important day of your life.

  • AMAZING Venue and Food

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Windows on the Water at Frogbridge in June of 2023 and it went above and beyond every expectation that we had. All the NJ wedding venues that we toured before Frogbridge (6 total) were either country clubs or over the top ballrooms, and we couldn’t find a place that felt right. I wanted somewhere with natural beauty (with both indoor and outdoor spaces,) not over the top (but definitely not inelegant,) and somewhere with amazing food. My only hesitation with booking Frogbridge was that my brother-in-law and sister-in-law got married there in 2017 (before I met my husband) and I felt like I should have ‘my own venue’ since that was ‘their place’. Looking back I realize that was silly and I’m thankful that my in-laws spoke so highly of WOTW @ Frogbridge and convinced me to check it out on my own. In November 2021, I met with Jim who gave me a tour of the Frogbridge grounds and I immediately fell in love and knew that it was the place for me. It was classy with both indoor space (which was recently renovated!) and stunning outdoor space. It was family-run, and it was the same chef from my in-laws wedding who I had heard about from my husband and in-laws for years about how amazing the food was. When I reached out a few days later to book, I didn’t have to beg for a date two years out like a lot of venues still backed up from Covid were making couples do, and when I had a problem with my church not confirming my ceremony date, they assured me that they would do whatever they could to secure a date that worked for us if we needed to change our original one. One of the things I loved was that all pricing was visible ONLINE. So many venues require you to meet in person so they can go over pricing for dates. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, are all different prices but they are all listed directly on their website so you know exactly how much you will be paying, before you even take a tour. (Tax is included in that price so you’re not doing unnecessary math like some of these other venues require you to do.) Everything was upfront and honest. We also loved that we were in charge of supplying our own alcohol. We could pick exactly what we wanted and Frogbridge worked with a local vendor who helped us pick what we needed, took care of the delivery a few days prior, and returned all unopened cans/bottles after our wedding so we were only charged for what was used. Wedding planning can be stressful but our WOTW Coordinator, Danielle, made everything so easy- from introducing us to vendors, to helping us pick our decor, and organizing and helping us with every single question we had. She was awesome and we loved working with her! On our reception day, not only did the staff cater to us, the bride and groom - but they really made everyone in our wedding party, our families, and friends feel like they were receiving 5-star treatment. My family and friends still tell us how amazing the food was and how they loved sitting outside looking at the beautiful lake. I genuinely hope that one day one of my family members or friends gets married there so I can experience it all over again as a guest. Our wedding at Windows on the Water at Frogbridge was exceptional and truly one of the greatest days of our lives. Everything and everyone was so incredible throughout the entire process and we can’t recommend this venue enough!
