Beautiful venue, nightmare to deal with

This place is beautiful and you really get a lot for your money. They do not charge you for everything. They do have a huge communication issue and it really stressed me out during my wedding planning process. The lady I did the tour with, left and I ended up signing my contract with a different lady. They were both super nice. Then I was ghosted for about 9 months. I finally got in contact with new director when my wedding was 6 months out. She was also super nice but her communication skills were even worse. I kept wanting to give her the benefit of doubt that she was new. But I’m telling you, it was times I was ready to be in tears because I could call, email, text and wouldn’t get any response. I didn’t even get a check in when I was a month out, not even at 14 days out. And when I have to give her my final head count, I had to hunt her down again. I would need to make changes or ask for things and get nothing. My Mom even had to call and talk to the manager once just for her to finally call me back. It was a nightmare. Then you finally talk to her and she is super nice. And it makes you not want to go off on her. But the venue and food is amazing. Just be cautious and listen to the reviews when they say they suck at communicating. It was beyond horrible. Then when it was the weekend of my wedding, she didn’t have things setup like she said. She would tell me she was going to be at certain places and wasn’t. My mom was my decorator and she didn’t have the reception or the ceremony area setup like she said would. The day of my wedding she was supposed to be there at 8 like me. She got there about 9 and then it was hard to hunt her down during the day. And then she left and didn’t even tell me. My photographer told me. I get it, she didn’t have to stay the entire time but at least let me know! It was just horrible. My BEO was constantly messed up. They initially never took my deposit so for a half a year I thought I had paid it but nope. And then because she never got back to me at timely manner I didn’t know my whole balance ever. Yea it was a nightmare
