The Carriage House

The Flyway Lodge rests on 26 acres of land and is located beside the Mackey Island Nature Preserve. This ensures you and your guests have a private location to celebrate your wedding reception.

- All-day rental, 9am until 10:30pm - A low stress set-up and break-down experience (use of the property the day prior and the following day) - A complimentary honeymoon suite for the bride and groom (1 night stay) - 8 foot tables and cherry resin fold out chairs for 200 guests - 2 hour use of the property for engagement, bridal or boudoir photo shoot - Three strands of Edison bulbs across the courtyard, four chandeliers in the Carriage House, six porch lights, two uplights, and two sets of string lights - We permit outside alcohol and the use of any licensed, insured vendors - 40 by 40 foot brick paved dance floor - Climate controlled bridal suite and groom room

Michelle at The Flyway Lodge is amazing! She and the entire team worked tirelessly to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. The space itself is gorgeous - the perfect backdrop for an outdoor party wedding. We loved everything about the place, from the beautiful natural setting to the seamless service. Michelle and her staff ensured I was completely stress-free all day, allowing me to truly enjoy our special celebration. I have nothing bad to say about The Flyway Lodge - if you're looking for the perfect wedding venue, this is it!

At The Flyway Lodge, we allow you the freedom to choose your own vendors. All vendors and service contractors must be licensed, insured professionals.

We offer 20 - 8X4 foot tables that comfortably fit 8-10 guests each and 200 cherry resin fold out chairs. You will need to purchase or rent 108x156 tableclothes. Also included are 9 vintage wine barrels, a room full of decor, and vintage furniture. A lighting package is provided consisting of string Edison lights, chandeliers, uplights, and porch lights. DJ/sound equipment is also included.

We do permit outside alcohol. Alcohol may not be served to minors. The Flyway Events, LLC and its employees are not responsible for any damages, costs or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, which may arise as a result of consumption of alcoholic beverages by the client and any of the client’s guests. The client is responsible for obtaining the necessary permits as required by the NC ABC.

The farm building has a 200-amp electrical service that may be used by vendors. A Flyway representative will be onsite for the duration of your event and will handle questions or emergencies related to Flyway facilities.

The Flyway Lodge will set up chairs for your wedding ceremony under the direction of your wedding planner. You will need to make other arrangements to move chairs from the ceremony to the reception. All tables and chairs must be broken down and stored in the barn area within 3 hours of the event conclusion.

A parking lot is available adjacent to the Carriage House and all vehicles must park in this area.
