    My husband and I had our wedding at Sable Creek Homestead. It was the most perfect day. The Venue is absolutely gorgeous. Jillian & her team are amazing and so helpful. The day went so smoothly. Would definitely recommend this venue to everyone!!!

    Sable Creek Homestead was an absolute dream venue for our wedding! From the very first interaction, their communication was informative, easy, respectful, and detailed - Jillian and the team were so nice and helpful throughout the entire process. The beautiful, amazing farm provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. The staff and bartenders were all amazing, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything looked stunning and ran smoothly. The team was very helpful with decorating and making it look incredible. Jillian was there to make sure things went off perfectly and on time. Words can't describe my gratitude for all of their help - Sable Creek Homestead is absolutely the most beautiful and best place to have a wedding or any type of party.

    If this event hadn’t been so important to my mom and we didn’t have 50 people coming in from out of town, I would have cancelled. It was an awful experience. If you value your sanity and want to actually enjoy your wedding, do not use Sable Creek Homestead. The owner, Jillian, yelled at my guests because they were standing against the back wall. They were standing there because the venue neglected to put out enough chairs for them. Jillian arrived late on the day of the event and yelled at my DJ that the projector wasn’t in a good spot after he had spent 40 minutes perfecting it and literally making sure every single seat could see the screen. She yelled at a bus boy for not putting garbage bags out in the order that she wanted--he was doing the catering room first, but she wanted the bar done first. This is just the unprofessional issues that my immediate family and I witnessed on the day of our reception. Sable Creek doesn’t allow a lot of things. Things that are not listed anywhere other than in the owner’s head. Something that is documented is that they don’t allow couples to work with wedding planners. This is because Jillian is your “wedding planner” because she’s “so organized”. We received no wedding planning assistance. From our first tour we told them we were eloping and that this would just be a reception. Every single meeting we had to remind them that we were not doing a ceremony. Even our timeline for the day was messed up by putting a ceremony in. We were asked the same questions over and over again because they had no notes on us and no clue who we were or our requests and preferences. Leading up to the reception was a nightmare. The first red flag was that 2 months after we signed the contract, we were sent an additional list of rules we were required to follow that were never mentioned during the tour or in the contract. One rule was that they must approve all vendors BEFORE we interviewed them. By then we had already booked all our vendors because during the tour and in the contract it says that we can use any vendors and are not required to use their preferred vendors. We apologized for the misunderstanding and our vendors were approved. Two months before our wedding we get a frantic call from Jillian saying that our bar vendor does not meet their requirements. The vendor she personally had already approved. We came to realize they “didn’t meet the requirements” because Sable Creek had started offering their own bar services and they were trying to pressure us to use them instead. She even “offered” to call them and cancel our contract, which is not at all legal. She repeatedly tried to underhandedly upcharge us for things and convince us we needed things we didn’t. The timeline was another thing. She was completely unwilling to hear anyone else’s opinions—including ours—about what the day should look like. She told us and all the vendors that only she could create the timeline. Not the other vendors and not the couple. She was a complete bridezilla and it wasn’t even her wedding. I could go on and on with other examples of intimidating us into creating the day they wanted not what we wanted, unprofessional interactions with guests and vendors, and other examples of horrible customer service, but I don’t want my overall message to get lost in details. Do not book with Sable Creek Homestead. You will regret it. The venue was very pretty and looked like the pictures. Those are the only positive things I have to say.

    We loved the atmosphere and location! There were a few things we felt were miscommunicated regarding centerpieces and insurance, but overall fabulous experience.
