About this venue

Iris Aisle is a Victorian greenhouse that sits amongst our cedar grove in Madison County, Iowa. We built Iris Aisle ourselves, around the idea of creating a sanctuary where nature lovers could come to feel at home and be surrounded by medicinal plants and herbs and all of nature’s wonder, inside and out. Simplicity is our goal here, so we only host events of 75 or fewer people. We knew we wanted this place to be geared toward smaller weddings, because there is no other place in Iowa that does. So many venues want to go big or go home, but that’s not us. Instead, we want to shift the mindset of what this day is truly about, how true connection with those you love the most is deeply important.

The Conservatory

The Conservatory sits back amongst our cedar tree forest, and when you first see it, it feels like you’re walking into a whole new world. We started building the Conservatory in 2018, inspired by the idea of turning it into a magical Victorian greenhouse embellished with all the ornate finishes you could imagine, so it would feel like an old, overgrown greenhouse you might find if you wandered into a secret garden.

The Couple’s Cabin

Snuggled in our woods, you’ll find the Couple’s Cabin.

A welcoming porch awaits; perfect for relaxing in the rocking chair while you listen to nature around you. Inside, a vintage fridge + freezer is yours to fill, and we have plenty of tea and coffee for you to enjoy. Warm up the kettle while relaxing on our stunning green velvet couch.

The Lotus Bell Tent

Our 16x16 Lotus Bell Tent, or what I like to call… the garlic tent, is all things whimsy + boho western. It sits nestled in our woods in the back corner, secluded for your privacy. Entering the tent you’ll find a comfy queen size bed, a standing mirror, and a clothing rack to hang up your garments. Many of our couples not only use the Couple’s Cabin for getting ready, but the Lotus Bell Tent too.

    The absolute best wedding venue ever! No decorations needed when your surrounded by absolutely beautiful nature and beautiful plants! My husband and I knew this wad out venue the second we saw it we didnt even go look at any other venues it was one and done for us. Also the owners are absolutely wonderful wholesome people and they will make your day even more special! We couldnt have asked for a more perfect wedding day.
