About this venue

Hightower Falls is a unique waterfall venue that combines nature and rustic charm. It has an 80 foot, spring fed, cascading waterfall and an 1850 stone grist mill ruins that have attracted people for over 150 years. We are located approximately one hour west of Atlanta between Rockmart and Cedartown, GA. The beauty of nature is perfected by landscaping and flowers that make a breathtaking background for your special occasion. On the grounds you will find a 24-foot-high sculptured iron gate entrance that leads you into a hidden paradise away from city life. The stream below the waterfall runs in front of the grist mill, alongside the Back Porch and Coosa Hall buildings, the activities field, and the horse pasture. There are 11 camping cabins located on a wooded hillside with a campfire area, pavilion and bath house. We want to make your special occasion one that you will never forget, so please take a look around to discover everything that we have to offer and return to nature with us!

The Gristmill Lawn

Ceremony Site

In 1832 a cotton gin was built next to an 80-foot waterfall in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. In the 1850’s, a stone gristmill was also built. With lack of usage, the wooden mill has since been lost to time. While the slate roof of the stone mill has fallen in, the walls remain today. The Gristmill Lawn sits at the base of the waterfall and accommodates larger weddings up to 300 people. This is a beautiful Outdoor Wedding site with nature and history surrounding you! It is the Historic Venue you have been looking for.

Coosa Hall

Reception Hall

Coosa Hall has rustic elegance that includes chandeliers, twinkle lights and drapery from the ceiling. It is decorated, has heat and air-conditioning, a fabulous outside patio area, a dance area, serving kitchen and view of the creek and pasture.

The Back Porch

Pre-wedding building

The Back Porch building is fully decorated, is heated and air-conditioned, and has a beautiful outdoor patio area. Inside, it has a large brick fireplace, serving kitchen and a creek side view nestled at the foot of the waterfall.
