Equestria West at Bavaria Downs in Chaska, MN, offers a charming and accessible wedding venue. With two elegant ballrooms, a beautiful courtyard, and exceptional food, it’s perfect for creating your dream wedding. Guests are welcomed by a winding road leading to the venue, where the wedding party can get ready in fully-equipped, private dressing rooms. The ceremony can take place in the lush courtyard, featuring greenery and a serene water fountain. For the reception, choose from two banquet halls, accommodating 50 to 400+ guests. The venue’s event planner ensures every detail is tailored to your needs. The onsite culinary team brings 30 years of experience, and there are bars and lounges for guests to enjoy drinks. Cleanup services are also provided.

Main Ballroom
An artistically inspired, five-star designed set to create an unforgettable event.
The main ballroom is elegant and gorgeous. It has a vaulted ceiling with two-tiered chandeliers as well as a large fireplace with floor to ceiling stone, giving the room the perfect touch of opulence. Large black metal windows with white trim allow lots of natural light to grace the entire ballroom while also providing a contemporary feel.

Courtyard
Equestria West is surrounded by meadows and wetlands, so naturally lots of outdoor scenery is incorporated into the venue.
The courtyard is a beautiful space for a ceremony or cocktail area. It’s an oasis with a large fountain, gardens and plenty of seating for your guests. At night, the space will shimmer with café lights above the courtyard.

Belmont Suite
The Belmont (Bride's) Suite is grace, comfort and refinement rolled into one.
The suite offers plenty of space to get pampered with all your favorite people on your special day. Contemporary furniture and light fixtures create an elegant ambiance with style. A wall of mirrors engulfs the make-up area for the perfect getting ready space. There is also a small private patio set right outside of the suite, which allows for a nice secluded area for some peace and serenity before the big day.

Small Ballroom

The small ballroom is charming and intimate. Perfect for an indoor ceremony, cocktail hour lounge space, or small reception area, the options are endless. The Club Room is of rare and distinctive character.
It’s best described as a cross between a hangout space, polo club, and European pub. Dark wood and deep tones give it a signature look. With inclusions such as worn leather club chairs and a card and pool table, the guys will have a place that is truly their own. This handsome suite would not be complete without its barbershop grooming area, which provides the groom with a space to get pampered as well.

Wooded Ceremony Site
The Ideal Ceremony Site, surrounded by Nature.
The Wooded Ceremony Site is a magical setting hidden among the Bavaria Downs grounds. With unique wood benches, crafted from reclaimed wood from the trees used to create the space, it adds the perfect amount of charm. A guided path next to Equestria West takes you out to the site so your guests and wedding party can easily access the space, yet private enough so you feel immersed in the breathtaking beauty that nature offers.

The perfect venue!
Equestria West was the perfect venue for our wedding! The stunning, spacious setting, combined with incredible flexibility and top-notch vendor recommendations, made our vision a reality. Ann and her team were amazing—professional, communicative, and always available to guide us through the planning process. Their support made everything seamless, allowing us to truly enjoy our special day. From start to finish, Equestria West exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t recommend it more!
Best Venue & Exceptional Staff
Equestria West at Bavaria Downs is truly breathtaking—it perfectly blends timeless elegance with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Every space is beautifully designed and offers endless opportunities to make it your own. Unlike other venues I toured, so much is included, from gorgeous decor to an amazing event staff who go above and beyond. But what really sets Equestria West apart is the service. The team was incredible—they listened to every request and made sure every detail was just right. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but they made the whole process so easy and stress-free. If you're looking for a luxury wedding venue in Minnesota, this is it. I can’t recommend Equestria West enough—10/10 experience!

The team at Equestria West is second to none! They were so helpful during the planning process and kept me on track with the myriad of decisions that need to be made. Ann and her team were always available for questions if I needed them. Planning a wedding in less than 6 months was easier because of EW. The day of my wedding went smoothly because of the team at Equestria West. They kept everyone on track and made sure the vendors were where they were supposed to be. The venue is AMAZING and spacious for all of our guests and bridal party. There was nothing overlooked when they built this venue.
