About this venue

Built along the original route 66 El Rey Court officially opened its doors in 1936. With its traditional Northern New Mexico adobe-style architecture the motor inn was a favorite among locals and road trippers alike. Throughout the years El Rey has seen many additions, renovations, upgrades and changes. More rooms were built, the original carports were enclosed the pool and hot tubs were added, and the neighboring motel (Alamo Court) was integrated into El Rey. The latest upgrades were completed in 2018, refreshing the rooms, adding La Reina bar and creating more spaces for guests. El Rey Court is New Mexico Safe Certified, meaning you can feel safe + comfortable staying with us knowing our standards and COVID safety. El Rey Court is a whimsical + romantic spot that will stand the test of time. The beautifully landscaped grounds, multiple ceremonies + reception outlets and traditional adobe structures are a distinct, unique, and warm backdrop for vows of any size + style.

The heart of El Rey, La Reina is a bright and airy mezcal + tequila bar, complete with two outdoor patios, a fireplace and lounge seating. Lobby: Our largest interior space features regional adobe-style architecture, modern furnishings, a fireplace and curated artwork, providing a warm + comfortable backdrop for your special day.
