Q: Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes, you can bring your own alcohol and we do not charge any additional fees.

Q: What is your peak season?

May through October are "peak" dates.

Q: What is your off-peak season?

November through February are "off-peak"

Q: Do you have on-site parking?

The lodge has 10 parking spaces in the driveway, and the barn can fit another 25 cars in front. We also have nearby (walkable) spots available.

Q: Do you have accessible facilities?

Most of our property is on the ground floor, allowing for wheelchair access. However our bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible and most require at least 1 or 2 steps to entire into the house.

Q: What’s included in your starting rental fee?

Our Venue fee includes the use of our entire 30-acre estate with our overnight accommodations in the 5 boutique suites. We also include rentals such as tables, chairs, heaters, lights, decor, and much more!

Q: How many hours are included in our booking?

Reservations include a Venue fee (includes the barn and rental) and the Accommodation fee (boutique suites). You can choose your overnight stay duration, typically ranging from 3-5 days.

Q: What’s your cancellation policy?

We provide a full, 100% refund within 60 days of your event.

Q: How do we get to your venue from the nearest airport?

We are located about 1 hr 10 mins from Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa. We are about 2.5 hours from Oakland or SFO.

Q: Do we need to get insurance?

Yes, we do require event insurance which can be easily purchased online for about $150.

About this venue

Welcome to Driftwood Lodge, a 30-acre estate, mini-hotel and event barn located on the Sonoma Coast Highway 1. With sweeping ocean views from every room, this unique property is the perfect location for your "local" destination wedding weekend with family and friends. The lodge offers accommodations for up to 15 guests with 5BR/7BA, fully stocked kitchen, common area, 4 jacuzzi tubs, 4 saunas, 6 classic Malm fireplaces and an outdoor hot tub. The 1.5-acre meadow overlooking the ocean is the perfect place for your cocktail hour and ceremony. The large barn opens wide for an indoor/outdoor space for dinner and dancing. You and your guests can enjoy walking through some of the oldest Redwood forests in California down to our creek, lay in the hammock in the meadow or travel just beyond the lodge to a winery, a historic fort, ocean trails, fishing adventures or a round of golf. There are additional, nearby housing accommodations for your guests as well. Create your dream wedding escape!

The Driftwood Lodge

Ideal for overnight guests in our 5-boutique suites throughout your wedding weekend.

Full property rentals will enjoy a combination of ocean views, full sleeping accommodations in the main house, a 3,000 sq-ft, 2-story barn with meeting spaces, and exclusive private access to our 30 acre property with Redwood forest trails and a private creek. Event rentals at The Driftwood Lodge require a 3-night minimum use. You and your guests may arrive at 4 p.m. on the first day and stay until 10am on the third day.

The Meadow

180-degree panoramic ocean views from the meadow. Perfect for your ceremony or reception. Keep an eye out for whales!

Enjoy 1.5 acres of open grass overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Hear the waves crash, the seals bark, and watch hawks and seagulls catch fish as whales swim by just off shore. The patio includes a hot tub, gas firepit, 2 picnic tables, 2 lounge chairs, a hammock, and gas grill.
