About this venue

Commellini Estate is a tranquil wedding venue & caterer located in Spokane, Washington. This historic venue dates back to 1941, when it was lovingly established by Albert and Leda Commellini. Even though this venue has been around for decades, it is still family-owned and operated. Their private woodland venue contains a total of 200 acres and is perfect for hosting all stages of your wedding, including your bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and reception. On the Estate, couples and guests will feel as if they have been whisked away to a private paradise. The property boasts not only forests, but also a prairie, lawns, a nine-foot waterfall, a pond with a fountain, and a tranquil creek. These gorgeous natural elements provide the perfect backdrop for outdoor weddings. In total, couples have six wedding and ceremony sites they can choose from, including four outdoor (uncovered & covered) options and two indoor option varying in capacity.

Main Venue

The Main Indoor Venue was originally built in 1941 and has a very rich and colorful history.

The Main Indoor features a beautiful terrazzo dance floor, glowing wood paneling three crystal chandeliers, and four handmade gold-leafed Corinthian columns. The main venue can seat 120 people with a dance floor. That being said, our average guest count for events May-October is between 150-200 people. A table layout with the indoor and outdoor combination is common.

Special Notes: There is a state of the art heating, cooling and sound system. Our sound system resides inside of the 1920 Art Deco Jukeboxes and plays in the main venue, bathrooms, bar, deck, and portico and includes a wireless microphone.

Pondside

Dance the night away under our tent of 1000 lights.

Have your event along our pond and acres of manicured grass and pine trees. This is our largest location and can hold parties up to 300 people for ceremonies and receptions. The pots surrounding the pond hold 4' cedar trees during peak season.

Portico

Gorgeous outdoor covered portico

The gorgeous outdoor covered portico area has many uses. Most often it is used for dancing under the stars during the warm month. However, it is also used for wedding ceremonies, buffet presentation, outdoor reception, overflow seating, and band or other musician setup. The capacity for this location is 225 guests for a reception and 120 for a ceremony.

Patio

The large willow tree that hangs over the deck is lit with twinkle lights and creates a very romantic atmosphere for dancing or as a photo opportunity

The Patio is frequently used for cocktail hour, dancing, photo booths, or additional seating. We can also set the deck with round tables seating up to 50 guests.

Creekside

When in bloom, Creekside feels like you've entered a secluded, secret garden. The serene ambiance & natural beauty make the perfect ceremony setting.

This location is right along the edge of Spring Creek where you can hear the tranquil sounds of the trickling water. The seated capacity for Creek Side is 160 guests. Included in all packages are various décor options for the white Tuscan pergola, although a florist's touch does wonders here. Along with ceremonies, this location has also been used for yard games and other fun reception activities.

La Capanna

Raw elegance from our prohibition past

Our second indoor location and it is our most intimate event space for ceremonies less than 60 people, and seated receptions less than 30 people. In addition this space is often used as a dressing room for the groom's party. Special Notes: Commellini Estate is known for its Prohibition past and for hiding moonshine in the many underground tunnels. This building is the front of one of the underground tunnels.

Description

Commellini Estate offers Elopement packages for Monday-Thursday non-holiday dates in the 2024 calendar year. Elopement packages may also be offered any available day of the week when within 21-days of the event. Each package includes an intimate ceremony set alongside Dartford Creek for you and your closest friends. Choose from our Classico or Elegante packages and add-on any of our custom a la carte options.

Host your next party at Commellini Estate and make memories to cherish. Birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, baby or bridal showers, holiday parties or rehearsal dinners - our venue can accommodate for all celebrations. Pricing rage shows minimum venue rental reservations accounting for 2 hours from our Patio to the Main Indoor Venue, other spaces to consider are Pondside or La Capanna!

    Commellini's catered my wedding and it was absolutely fantastic. I had a vison of doing breakfast for dinner and the french toast and italian style scramble were suuuuch a hit. Also the coordinator I worked with was amazing and so willing to help in every way. I couldn't have asked for a better caterer and wedding dinner.

    Not only were they the only venue to respond to me in a timely manner, they also checked all my boxes. It’s a big enough space for a lot of people, but still small enough to feel intimate. The communication was great. Most important to me is they do everything for you! By that I mean they cater there, they have a full bar and bartender, they help coordinate, set up and take down (no cleaning for me at the end of my wedding!!) and they have a coordinator day of who stays with you and helps everything move along the whole time. You cannot go wrong if you choose them as your venue. I highly recommend.

    Ralph's Regal Weddings provides Wedding Officiant services. We have worked at Commellini Estate many times and think they are just wonderful. They, like us, are concerned about providing the couple with a wedding ceremony that is flawless. They have a very professional staff that is dedicated to making every event memorable. If you're interested in having your wedding or special event at an historic location, then Commellini's "speak-easy" atmosphere is the place for you.
