Katie Forbis | St. Louis-based, available anywhere | What I love most about weddings are the people, the relationships, and the emotions - and that’s exactly what I strive to capture. I'm inspired by light, texture, emotion, movement, and shape. I lightly direct when needed, but when I do I keep it natural and easy. You won’t see me spending an excruciating amount of time posing people down to the inch. I shoot fluidly and I shoot a lot. My goal is to create beautiful images without over-stepping, over-directing, or wearing you out.

I take a documentary approach to photographing weddings. Instead of staging photos, I shoot events as they are unfolding, however that may look. I believe that all love is valid, and I photograph couples from all walks of life regardless of race, age, religion, or sexual orientation <3
