My experience is unique. I grew up with my white family very cognizant of inequality that existed in the world and the importance of experiencing the outdoors. But there was still much they could never understand. My grandfather, Cherokee, Black, + Blackfeet, would always bring me into the garden with him. I learned how to appreciate our connection to the Earth, the ancient connection our people have, and how that connection had been broken, being stripped from their land. My name is Trin, I'm a photographer + traveler. I'm incredibly passionate about helping the community of color restore their connection the outdoors through photography.

Enjoying the outdoors + having easy access to parks is not universal. Both the conservation + outdoor recreation movements are predominately and disproportionately white spaces. The wedding industry has been called out time after time for the lack of representation, not just in diversity of skin tone, but diversity in wedding celebrations, and body size too.
