Hi! I’m David, your wedding photographer and guide for creating a unique wedding experience. Through the experience of falling in love, my passion in photography quickly developed into a passion for capturing the intimacy, love, and connection between two people in love.

As a wedding & elopement photographer today, my goal is to celebrate the love stories of couples from all backgrounds, and to help craft unique and intentional wedding experiences that enable couples to love and celebrate unapologetically.

    100% 5/5 stars. They were absolutely fabulous photographers for our wedding (June 2023). We had both of them for eight hours. I would (and have) recommended them to others. Neither of us are picture people and they made us so, so comfortable and the pictures we got back were truly a work of art.     Silk and Thorn did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos! We first saw them in action at a family member’s wedding where they were helping set up the arch as it fell over. Completely out of their responsibility, but they didn’t hesitate to jump in. Right away, this shows David and Rob’s character. They don’t just want you to have great photos..they want you to have a great experience. We could not have been happier with our beautiful sunrise engagement photo shoot. It was truly one of our best experiences as a couple. It was so fun and romantic without being awkward or stiff. The feeling was like falling in love all over again, and our photos were OUTSTANDING. Just beautiful. They were the perfect team to do our wedding. I highly recommend doing the package with both of them! We were able to see various angles from each moment, and they are all beautiful. To us, photography was the thing we wanted to splurge on because photos last a lifetime. We wanted high quality photos and high quality people being apart of our day. With Silk and Thorn, we got both of those things. We were also surprised with how affordable they were compared to other quotes we received in our area. All of our photos are romantic and beautiful while still staying true to us as a couple. We just cannot say enough great things about Silk and Thorn!

    From the first consultation phone call I had with David I gained great confidence in him. He took the time to answer all my questions, and jot down my ideas. He wanted to learn about each of us in greater detail so he could capture our personalities in the photos. David didn’t pose us and make us feel like statues. He effortlessly caught candid interactions and each photo makes you relive the moment all over again. The high resolution in each photo is of the utmost quality and the quantity shared exceeded my expectations, too! David has been an absolute gem to work with and I’d recommend his services to anyone.
