Scott Metzger

Metzger Studios was founded by Boston Wedding Photographer I specialize in wedding photography throughout New England. I am known for my photojournalistic style and artistic eye. I combine a documentary-style approach with an artistic vision to provide clients with a beautifully illustrated narrative of their wedding day. I pride myself on being unobtrusive without missing an opportunity to capture the special moments that truly define your wedding. Metzger Studios goes above and beyond to capture your event from beginning to end with precision and elegance without ever sacrificing the intimacy of your special day.

The most important thing I’ve learned over my 20 years as a wedding photographer is that you can’t do this job if you are not passionate about it. One of my strengths as a wedding photographer is my ability to adapt to any situation that is presented to me.

I am confident we can create a package that works with your needs and budget. It is hard to give you an exact number without knowing all the specifics, depending on the time of year, how many hours, and the types of albums you choose. I will honor a 15% discount on all products for off-season and non-Saturday weddings. Scott and his associate Pat shot photos the day of our wedding and did such a great job of capturing the joy of the day. We did an engagement shoot with Scott prior and it really helped us get comfortable in front of the camera leading up to the wedding, our photos from both sessions came out awesome. Scott was ever present at our reception, seemingly everywhere at once (getting wonderful candids of almost every guest interaction) and also totally unobtrusive and respectful of the time we wanted to spend with our friends and family. I never felt like he was in the way or keeping me from something else I wanted to be doing while snapping pictures. Our photos have a fun creative flare to the poses and composition and will look great in a frame or album.

Photographer Scott Metzger of Metzger Studios Scott photographed our wedding in August of 2023 and we could not recommend him more. We knew of his incredible work as he had shot the groom’s sister’s wedding a few years before. The photos from that wedding were creative, artistic, and, simply put, stunning. It didn’t take much to convince either one of us to go with him as we were both drawn to his unique style and original point of view. Scott was so easy to work with, right from the first time we contacted him. All of his responses were timely and professional, whether via email or phone. We met via Zoom to discuss his services and pricing and immediately felt at ease. For an incredibly fair price, we got Scott and a second photographer (Kathy) for 8 hours. Also included was an album with 60 retouched photos, a thumb drive with all the photos taken, and an incredibly sweet blog post highlighting some of the gorgeous photos from our day. He also guaranteed that if he couldn’t make it on the day of the wedding for whatever reason, he would provide a back-up photographer for us. On the actual wedding day, we gave Scott complete artistic license to bring our day to life through photos. His work with reflections is so second to none; it’s so interesting to see ourselves reflected in a wine glass or a table top. He did a great job corralling our large families to get all the shots we had asked for, especially given that the sun was setting and the natural light was quickly disappearing. He kept everyone on task and did it in such a way that it only enhanced our experience with him. Many of our friends and family complimented Scott's (and Kathy’s) professionalism and willingness to accommodate any requests that our guests made of him for their own unique pictures all while making sure we were his priority throughout the day. After the wedding, Scott created a beautiful slideshow on YouTube that we were able to show our guests. It so perfectly encapsulated our day, especially given how quickly it seemed to pass for both of us. We cannot recommend Scott Metzger enough. His artistic vision is eye-catching and visually appealing. He is very fairly priced and incredibly easy to work with. If you’re looking for a photographer with an artistic eye and that listens to what you want out of your photos, please consider Scott.

We met Scott for our engagement photos after emails about the perfect location. He gave his suggestions which were exactly what we were looking for. For our wedding, he definitely brought his A game and got such amazing shots! He captured who my husband and I are in his pictures.

I cannot speak more highly about the work Scott and his team captured for our wedding. Scott and his team are creative, thoughtful, and responsive and captured the most unique and beautiful images of our wedding celebration. One of the things that drew us to Scott's work was his unique images. None of the weddings he showcases looks alike - not one. Each couple and location is unique and Scott leverages this every chance he gets, capturing once-in-a-lifetime shots. Not to mention that Scott and his team make the entire experience fun and filled with laughter! We cannot recommend Scott and his team more. If you are looking for a photographer, you've found him.
