Based in Jersey City, I've been photographing weddings since 2010. I have two degrees in photography and wouldn't change a moment of what I do or how I got here. I spent 5 years producing celebrity photo shoots for magazines like Time Out and InStyle, so keeping cool under fast-paced pressure is kind of my thing. I'm always trying to push the envelope with what I do, whether that's finding a way to make better photos or optimize your experience with me.

I want to make sure your photos reflect you and your partner. I'm a calm and quiet presence, but also your hype team when you need it. I'm here to direct you when you need it and make sure that your photos effortlessly reflect the two of you by giving you prompts that get you forgetting about the camera, having fun and just being yourselves with each other. Not only do my photographs feature bold and true to life color, but I am there for you every step of the way. I am honored to work with you and I want you to LOVE your photography experience, so customer service and efficiency are hugely important to me.

I honestly don’t have enough words to thank Lauren and her team for her beautiful photography. Booking her was by far the best investment we made for our wedding day—Lauren is worth the splurge no matter your budget. We wanted to curate a very specific vibe for our wedding, and Lauren understood it immediately. That’s because she has the innate ability to capture moments that no one else even sees. She is a people person through and through, and you can tell in the way her pictures come out. What could be a stagnant portrait, Lauren can turn into a stunning piece of art that evokes not just a specific vibe and mood but also emotion. Also as someone who has some insecurities about being photographed, I was blown away by how beautiful I looked in her photos. I’m incredibly grateful for her eye and dedication to making those beautiful photos. Not only that, but being around Lauren is a joy. She is so good at making sure everyone is comfortable enough to be photographed—and even includes a complimentary engagement shoot to get familiar with her before the big day (which is also so thoughtful and smart!). We had a few wedding challenges (a gigantic bridal party with 16! bridesmaids! and in-laws who were meeting for the first time at the wedding to start with!), and Lauren made sure she knew what she was walking into beforehand to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible on the day of. And it really really did. As a queer wedding with two brides, it was also really important to both of us to feel like superstars on our special day, and Lauren delivered that in spades. When we told her we wanted to have two aisles and walk down simultaneously, she was more than game for the challenge—she was excited. Finally, beyond her delightful personality, thoughtfulness, and extreme talent—Lauren is responsible for the success of our wedding. She sent us a list of recommended vendors, and we went with most of them. It was such a relief to have vendors pre-vetted by someone who had worked with them multiple times, and each one turned out to be just as good as she said they were. If you are looking for a photographer to capture your wedding, you will not be disappointed with Lauren!

Lauren is the absolute GOAT. Her photography style drew us to her, and then her professionalism, excellent organization, fun personality, and take charge yet flexible attitude made us die-hard Lauren fans. I loved working with her so much that I also hired her to work on my business' branding shoot. And honestly, how could I work with anyone else after working with the greatest of all time? Thank you x a million to Lauren for making our wedding photography an absolute dream from start to finish!

Working with Lauren was an absolute DREAM! She is kind, fun and we felt so comfortable with her from the beginning. She is very organized, thoughtful and professional! She was prompt to provide sneak peaks for both the engagement shoot and the wedding day, which was awesome. We even got some fun polaroids the night of! Overall the photos came out amazing and the day ran so smoothly thanks to her! She captured everything so beautifully and we could not be happier with the final gallery! THANK YOU THANK YOU Lauren!

I cannot imagine having booked any photographer other than Lauren Spinelli for my wedding. My husband and I found her after weeks of looking at portfolios that seemed so washed out. The photos were beautiful, but they weren’t “us.” We wanted bright, lively, candid, colorful photos – and that’s exactly what Lauren delivered. She was a joy to work with during planning and brought so much energy and fun the day of the wedding. If you’re thinking about booking her, don’t hesitate – just do it. She really made our day everything we’d ever dreamed of, and the photos reflect that – they are so happy and fun and full of life. We will forever treasure them.
