We met through similar circumstances of a blind date in 2012. To our surprise we had so much in common that we easily talked about everything and anything for over 3 hours (we're pretty sure that's way longer and more comfortable than blind dates usually go!) and honestly, we just haven't stopped talking since! (There's rarely a quiet moment between us, we really do like to talk!) Within our own separate businesses, we often worked together, generally leading to casual jokes about how we were a dream team and we should just join forces!

When kate & jill was created, we set out to break the mold from what we saw with other wedding photographers. We didn't want our couples to feel uncomfortable during an hour of posing and smiling at the camera, (trust us, when you feel uncomfortable, you look uncomfortable!) we wanted to be able to create natural & effortless images for them. We strive to create real moments between our couples. Disclaimer: due to the nature of our business, there will be laughing, squealing (mostly from us when we get THE shot), silly games, and the sudden inability to hide your true selves from our cameras.
