We're Giuliana, Brian, and Lane of Halifax Hill Studios! A photography trio based just North of Raleigh: we love photographing weddings, engagements, family portraits and everything in between! Giuliana and Brian, the founders of Halifax Hill Studios, are married as of Fall 2021! Lane is a good friend of Giuliana and Brian, who just recently joined the Halifax Hill Studios team. Most of our wedding packages include a second shooter, so we tag-team throughout wedding day to provide you with the very best service and amazing photographs.

We like to take a creative, yet casual approach to our photography. We don't like overly posed photos, except when necessary, like family portraits & group shots. We do provide posing direction, but also like to let you do your own thing so it looks natural. We strive to make sure you have the time of your life on your wedding day while we capture beautiful photos to represent it. We have a timeless, true-to-color editing style- that way you can look back on your photos years from now & relive that exact moment of happiness. The coloring in our photos is as vibrant as they are in real life, so these precious memories never fade away.

    We had the absolute pleasure of having Lane as our wedding photographer, and I can't say enough good things about her. From start to finish, Lane demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism and skill that truly made our special day even more memorable. She was always in the right place at the right time, capturing all the important moments. This allowed my spouse and me to fully enjoy our day while knowing that every precious moment was being expertly documented. Additionally, Lane and her second shooter (Julian- who is an absolute rock star!) were great at managing our entire family and bridal party to ensure we got beautiful shots. (This is not an easy task- Thank you!!!) The pictures that Lane delivered were nothing short of stunning. She has an incredible eye for detail and a knack for capturing the most beautiful shots. When we received our photos, we were absolutely blown away by the quality and love you could feel in every single shot. We couldn't be happier with the final product. It was evident that she genuinely cared about capturing our day just the way we envisioned it. We are incredibly grateful to Lane and Julian for preserving our wedding day and bridals portraits with such elegance and skill, and we highly recommend his services to anyone in need of a talented photographer.     I worked with Giuliana for a wedding at The Victorian, and she and her team were incredible. They were on time, communicative, and stayed on our developed timeline (actually ahead of it!), which can be rare. Giuliana shot some incredible pictures throughout the day, without making special moments be forced. We were able to check in and adjust a few things as needed, and her flexibility and professionalism were so appreciated. I'm looking forward to working with this team again soon!

    We knew after speaking to Giuliana on the phone that we wanted to book with her. Our wedding was at the Victorian so we knew she was the expert on places for photo and how the space worked. She is such a fun (and cool) person and she worked with such a peace and ease on our wedding day. I felt like as soon as she arrived, the day was just full of fun things! She gives clear yet inviting direction with poses (we as a couple and individuals definitely liked having someone direct us in posing so we didn't just stand there awkwardly). I never felt like she was bossing us around and she asked several times if there were additional things we wanted photographed or groups of people. Giuliana made us feel right at home in front of her camera and our pictures are INCREDIBLE. I cannot speak enough to her patience and ease with family photos, portraits, and other vendors. I felt like she had quite the challenge with all of our portraits and things going on but she handled it with such ease and it truly flew by. We actually ended up with extra time to be alone during cocktail hour which we wanted but I was never sure we would actually get it with our photo list, but she made it happen! We also had Giuliana come up to us in DC for our engagement shoot which was so much fun. We had a blast shooting at the monuments and she handled the people and weather changes with such an ease which took a lot of stress off of us!
