How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

Typically, couples book me about 9-13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Accepted Answer

No, I do not typically have an assistant or extra photographer with me. With 20 years of photographing weddings under my belt, I am very efficient at capturing all the details by myself. I actually shoot with two cameras on a wedding day. So, I guess you could say I am the second photographer :-)

Question 3

Will you edit all our pictures?

Accepted Answer

Definitely. After culling your images, all final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal for an additional charge.

Question 4

How many pictures will we get?

Accepted Answer

I never put a cap to how many photographs I will take or will not take. Each wedding or elopement is unique meaning each wedding produces different creative options and moments to be captured. Many times I take between 50-100 photographs per hour all dependent on the event; sometimes much more. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and lots of other factors.

How long will it take to see our pictures?

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4 weeks after your wedding. I always try to put up a little sneak peek within a week of the wedding though.

Question 6

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In my 20 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make every effort to make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Do you also offer video services?

While I focus on photography only, and never promise video ... I've been known to switch over to video if I've captured all the photos needed and surprise my couple with a video clip here and there.
