Amanda Marie Photo

Hi there, My name is Mandy and I’m the owner here at Amanda Marie Photo. I’m a rock and roll loving, free spirit that belongs with a camera in her hand. From a young age, photography has always been a hobby of mine and I was always the friend freezing the moments and snapping photos. In high school, I took a journalism class and I will never forget the first time I held a professional DSLR camera in my hand. It felt so……. right. A professional photographer though, me? No way! All of the career tests in school told me I should be in science and healthcare.

I would continue my photography passion after high school. I got a part-time job with sears portraits while attending college to be an x-ray technician and serving tables. However, it wasn’t until I became a mother that I really started to focus on developing my photography business. After my son was born I realized how important it was to slow down and capture all of the precious moments in my growing family. A few years later my daughter was born and shortly after I decided it was time to make my dream a reality. I started practicing on my family and friends and I haven’t looked back since. :)
