Hello beautiful people! With ten+ years of experience in the beauty industry, I am a passionate makeup artist & proud partner/stylist at Pretty Sharp Salon, where I offer a wide range of services, including makeup, hair coloring, and cutting. I also own Vows & Vanity, a traveling makeup business bringing on-site beauty services to weddings, special events, and more. My goal is to help you feel confident, comfortable, & radiant by enhancing your natural beauty & perfecting your look. Whether you’re in the salon or on location, I’m dedicated to making every experience unforgettable & building lasting relationships with each client! -Hilary

Although I do not offer hair styling/updo services for events, I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible hairstylists and I’m happy to recommend other talented professionals who can collaborate with me to bring your hair vision to life as well on your special day. Whether you're getting ready for a wedding, a photoshoot, or any other event, I’m committed to helping you find the best team to assist with making you look and feel your absolute best!

Yes, depending on the time you’ll need to be ready and the amount of makeup applications. I typically offer up to 7 people to do myself before I suggest a second makeup artist as long as we have enough time for me to do them myself. I have a handful of wonderful artists I’ve worked with in the past that I can recommend to bring on if need be!

Yes, the travel fee depends on location of services.

Yes, the trial pricing is $165 and is typically done in my salon Pretty Sharp Salon located in Plainville, CT.

Over the last few years, I’ve noticed airbrush has become less popular and due to it taking a bit longer per application with the cleaning involved, I typically only offer airbrush to clients who have acne scarring or cystic acne if they’re interested. I am able to get the same finish with traditional application and less time on typical clients. Airbrush also costs a bit more than traditional application.

Vows & Vanity was an absolute dream to work with for my wedding day beauty needs! Hilary and her team were timely, easy, and quick in all of our communication leading up to the big day. Their work was truly beautiful, perfect, and efficient - Hilary not only made me look gorgeous for my wedding, but my sister looked so stunning that even my father didn't recognize her! (Because my sister normally doesn’t wear a full glam look) Hilary has an amazing work ethic, personality, and takes so much pride in what she does. She made me and my entire bridal party sparkle and shine that day and I would choose Vows & Vanity over and over again for any special occasion.

Hilary is amazing! She took careful notes during the trial and had everything prepared for my big day. She was attentive and a fun person to have around during the morning of the wedding. Everything lasted all night long.

As a wedding hairstylist, I've worked with Hilary for years as my recommended makeup artist. She always runs on time, laughs with you the whole day & has phenomenal talent. Not only do we work hand & hand, I hired her for my sister's wedding. We had a large party & the whole process was seamless. My makeup lasted through a whole day of ugly crying (see pics) watching my little sister become a wife. I felt beautiful & everyone loved their makeup. I highly recommend Vows & Vanity to any bride.

It was an absolute pleasure having Hilary as my makeup artist for my big day. Since the start she was extremely professional with quick responses. I shared inspo pictures with Hilary of my expectations and she exceeded what I wanted. I never felt so beautiful. It was such a joy being around her fun and kind energy on a day that can be so stressful. Hilary even did a makeup trial for me where she took notes to be sure we recreated the exact look I was happy with. I can't thank Hilary enough!
