Moon, the owner of Luna Beauty, boasts over 10 years in the beauty industry specializing in color. With her love of transformation, event styling and makeup became another passion of hers leading to the opening of Lunita Beauty Co. Sarah attended SUNY Purchase and earned a Bachelor’s in Communications, with a concentration in Public Relations. Makeup artistry was her true calling and she attended the Makeup Academy by Nina MUA and earned a Master Makeup Artistry Certification and a certification in occasion hair styling.

LUNITA Beauty Co. is a co-company to LUNA Beauty Studio, a hair studio founded by Moon Ruiz. Sarah Kimmel then joined to become an on-site makeup artist and occasion hair stylist. Together they delved further into the hair and makeup industry to create LUNITA (little moon) Beauty Co., a modern take on bridal and special event beauty services. Expect to sit back, relax and enjoy our simple studio located in downtown Glen Cove, NY. We specialize in soft glam and natural makeup. LUNITA is for the modern woman who embraces the skin she is in. We strive to enhance our clients’ best features and allow all natural beauties to shine bright.

    Lunita Beauty Co. has always been my go-to for any events in my life, as well as routine maintenance with my hair. They are honest, very knowledgeable, and patient. The quality of their work is creative, professional, stylish, and has a personal touch. Moon did a great job of making my vision come true for my wedding day - I absolutely loved my glam fall look and vintage hairstyle.
