Our Flowers Are Essential
The Essential Florist is a LGBTQ + owned flower shop. Based in Albuquerque, NM, our studio offers quality, unique, custom designs of fresh flowers for any occasion. Backed by 16 years of experience, we specialize in wedding flowers, sympathy bouquets, and flowers for everyday occasions. Our mission statement is to bring gorgeous and unique designs to your loved ones while supporting other local businesses and lessening our impact on the environment as an eco-minded florist.
In an industry that is saturated with cookie cutter floral designs, we pride ourselves on creating one of a kind floral gifts for you and your loved ones. We are one of few florists in Albuquerque specializing in bespoke floral design. While others are receiving the same arrangement that numerous others could be receiving, no two designs we deliver are alike!

Consultations last approximately 1 hour but can take up to 2 for larger weddings. Please come prepared with details about your wedding like your budget and style, as well as any inspiration you have for your wedding flowers. This can include images of your venue, photos of your wedding attire, fabric swatches, your color palette, photos from social media, and more. The more information and ideas you provide, the better we can assist you. After your consultation, we will curate color and floral palette samples based off your details and upon your approval start your estimate.
We have a $1,500 minimum for weddings. We also offer a complete wedding package starting at $495 with pre-selected flower types and quantities, based off your color choices.
Yes! We do offer mockup options. Should you decide you'd like a mockup please discuss it with your wedding consultant.
We offer event delivery to the following areas: Albuquerque Bernalillo Rio Rancho Santa Fe Taos and more. Your delivery fee is based on the distance and size of your event.

During your consultation, we will go over all the gorgeous in-season floral offerings available for your wedding date. We love supporting local growers and regional flowers and greenery!
Yes, we offer breakdown services along with delivery, set up, and flower transfer from the ceremony to the reception.
It’s never too early to get in touch about your wedding, but we recommend having a few details figured out before you do. For example: Have you selected the location for your ceremony and/or reception? What’s your wedding style? Do you know how many guests you’ll be expecting? Typically, our couples reach out around 6 to 8 months before their big day.
