We grow chemical free heirloom and distinctive flowers in MIlaca, MN. I’ve been growing flowers for 30 plus years and have been a flower farmer for 3. Our little flower farm produces high quality blooms for weddings, events, flower subscriptions, daily floral and more. I am a teacher and use my summers to delight my soul by growing and designing flowers. I love using ethereal and airy bits with touches of fragrance to create flower artistry. I focus on color, detail, and uniqueness to satisfy my customers. I would describe my designs as gardenesque, romantic, and whimsical. I’m looking forward to creating more wedding designs!

My flowers and work are inspired by art and nature while custom designing pieces to customer specifications. We aim to please as flowers should make your heart sing!! We also specialize in dahlias, growing over 80 varieties with color shades of the rainbow and those more geared toward wedding work. We grow traditional garden varieties as well as unique heirloom blooms. We also can outsource for flowers that we do not grow.

    Rusty Shovel Gardens did all of my wedding flowers this past year and I cannot say enough good things about them! Amy was very organized and on top of things and I never had to question anything. My bouquets, centerpieces, arbor pieces and pins were everything I could have dreamed of and more. They listened to all of my wants and dreams for flowers and made all of them happen plus some! I would recommend them to anyone. I continue to receive compliments on them all of the time, cant wait for my next event when I need flowers!

    Amy from Rusty Shovel Gardens was wonderful to work with! She listened to what we wanted and made our vision come to life. All of the items we received were put together beautifully and at a great price. Guests commented on how great the flowers looked, especially my gorgeous bouquet.
