My name is Rita Vanek, and I have been creating wonderful custom wedding flowers for selective brides for over 20 years. I will personally design and arrange your flowers beyond your expectations. When I am not arranging flowers, I am keeping up with the latest trends in wedding flower fashion.     We had planned to use Rita's Flowers for our wedding and had paid a 300 deposit to reserve the date. However, when we had to adjust our budget and submit a new order of about 1350, we were informed that their minimum order for a Saturday wedding is 2500. While we understand this policy, we were disappointed to learn that we couldn't use our deposit towards a bouquet or any other service. Despite giving 60 days' notice to find new business, we were told that we would lose the deposit entirely. Overall, we were disappointed with the inflexibility of Rita's Flowers in this situation, especially considering that we were still willing to spend a significant amount of money with them for our wedding. We hope that in the future, they can work with customers to find mutually beneficial solutions when unexpected changes arise.

    Just a little business 101 for Carl P. 1. A retainer is paid to secure a PRIME Spring Saturday wedding date on my calendar-which I held for a year. During which I turned other clients away from my business. Carl's fiancé and I communicated over 25 times by phone and email. 2. Carl informed me less than 45 days from the wedding that they were going to cut the flower order by more than half the agreed amount. My minimum amount for services was not met. I was unable to sell the date to another client with such short notice. 3. Carl's fiancé signed the contract stating that the retainer was non-refundable. The retainer not only held the date for Carl, but also paid for the many hours I spent working on the wedding order and communicating with his fiancé. Carl apparently believes that I should not be compensated for all the hours I spent working with his fiancé. I feel sorry for the woman who then had to marry Carl without getting the wedding she dreamed of and worked with me for many hours to achieve. Please read my over 100 5-star reviews on The Knot.
