Sweet Vermont Treats is a home-based bakery located in Colchester, VT providing a wide variety of sweet treats, from small orders to large scale events with rustic Vermont themed custom displays. Karli, the owner and baker, is a University of New Hampshire hospitality management alum and grew up in Central VT gaining experience while working at several popular outlets in the area. When not she's not baking she also enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling to new states and countries, and exploring unique restaurants and bars.

From cake and cupcakes to tarts and whoopie pies, we're sure to have something that satisfies your sweet tooth on your big day. We travel through out Vermont for weddings, no matter the size, from 200+ person wedding receptions to a small intimate elopements. Our products fit the rustic homemade vibe that most Vermont couples are seeking whether they're local to the area or planning a destination wedding. Items are made with local ingredients whenever possible, from maple syrup and coffee to fresh fruit and flour.

    Sweet Vermont Treats was a fantastic choice for our wedding cakes and desserts. From the very first conversation, Karli was prompt, clear, and easy to talk to. She listened carefully to our vision and designed a perfect cake that matched our style and theme. The cake itself was absolutely delicious, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. In addition to the beautiful wedding cake, Sweet Vermont Treats also provided an amazing selection of desserts that were a huge hit with our guests. Karli's attention to detail and passion for her craft really shone through in every aspect of our experience. We couldn't be happier with the contribution Sweet Vermont Treats made to making our special day so memorable.

    I am truly disappointed that I picked Sweet Vermont Treats for my wedding because the service I received was extremely unprofessional. I sent Karli an inspiration picture of the cake I wanted, which included writing on it. However, the cake that was delivered to me was blank and had no writing on it. I reached out to Karli so we could find a solution. On the phone, Karli sounded very confused and said she would not drive to me to write on the cake. She said she would contact a few bakers in the area to see if they could write on the cake, but she never got back to me. Given it was the day before my wedding, I was left to scramble and find a solution on my own, which is not something anyone wants to do the night before their wedding. A few days after my wedding, I reached out to Karli so we could discuss what happened. Karli said I should have told her I wanted writing on the cake because it's an extra charge. I would have totally paid the extra charge if I had known, but I was never informed of this nor did it appear on the quote that was given to me. Additionally, the inspiration picture of the cake I sent Karli had writing on it, and that's what I told her I wanted. I'm not sure why she would assume I didn't want writing on the cake instead of asking, especially since there was writing on the picture I sent her. Once again, Karli left me in the dark and didn't respond to my text message. I truly suggest not picking Sweet Vermont Treats for your wedding because there's a chance that you will not receive what you paid for. Since this business doesn't communicate in a professional way, they might get your order wrong and cut off all communication with you afterwards. I am truly disappointed with the service I received and being left in the dark right after. If you want a reliable service and no surprises, I don't suggest going with Sweet Vermont Treats.

    They did a wonderful job on our wedding cake! It was beautifully done and delicious—a big hit with our guests! We went with the Mixed Berries & Cream cake plus a couple other desserts for our guests with dietary restrictions. Karli was friendly, very easy to work with, and an effective communicator. I only wish they had more options for our vegan guests, but we made it work. Highly recommend!

    We were so pleased with Sweet Vermont Treats and their contribution to our wedding day! They were incredibly easy to contact leading up to the big day and took a lot of stress off our plates by handling set up themselves. The end result was simply beautiful - their displays looked amazing and all of the treats like tasted absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend them for any special occasion where you want something sweet!
