Meredith Ciaburri-Rousseau, Owner/Head Pastry Chef Since the age of 10, Meredith Ciaburri-Rousseau has had a passion for baking that was originally inspired by her mother and grandmother. In 2006, Meredith opened The Artisan Bake Shop in Rochester, Massachusetts. Meredith has been creating elaborately decorated and absolutely delicious cakes, pastries, cupcakes and pastries featuring locally farmed eggs, fruits and dairy. Meredith’s sweets have been featured in local and National magazines and popular wedding websites.

Artisan Bake Shop was an excellent choice for our wedding cake. The communication with the bakery was very easy, both over email and on the phone. They were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. The quality of their work is outstanding - the cakes and desserts were not only gorgeous, but also incredibly delicious. The easy pickup process ensured the cake was secure for our special day. As a regular customer of Artisan Bake Shop, I knew their items would be perfect for our wedding. Meredith and her team delivered beautiful and tasty creations that exceeded our expectations and were a hit with all our guests.

As soon as we picked up the wedding cake tasting kit from Artisan, we knew we'd have to go with them. Every sample bite of cake and frosting made it harder to decide what combination we wanted -- they're ALL delicious and you can't go wrong! We ended up choosing a champagne cake with raspberry filling, and Meredith really impressed us with all her different design concepts inspired by our wedding color palette and aesthetics. The result was a cake that everyone loved -- one friend who's a huge dessert fanatic called it the best wedding cake he'd ever tasted, and we agree! Our only regret from the wedding day is not being able to eat more of it, but as a lovely final touch, Meredith gave us the option of freezing a piece or a gift card for her to make us a new piece the next time we visit town. We can't wait to have it again!

Artisan was amazing. So professional and everyone raved about the desserts! They made desserts for a dessert table which was beautifully laid out, and a gluten free funfetti cake that shocked everyone because it didn’t taste gluten free AT ALL! I think about that cake regularly I can’t wait to order it again for our anniversary!

We had a wonderful experience with Artisan Bake Shop and Meredith for our wedding this past May and would highly recommend them!! My sister also used them for her wedding the year before and all the desserts were a big hit at both weddings. We had a small cutting cake and a dessert table, and everything was absolutely delicious and looked beautiful too. Meredith asked us which guests had allergies prior to the wedding and made specialized desserts that were delivered to their tables. Before the wedding we ordered tasting boxes for the cake and desserts, it was fun to try everything and pick our favorites for the wedding! We can’t wait for our anniversary cake next year!
