Stressful Experience

I did not have a great experience with Wild River Mobile Bar. We originally set up a contract with them about 6 months prior to our wedding. At the time we had an estimated guest count of 30 and the majority of items on our invoice were per person. In the contract it states “All arrangements and final menu selections must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the event date”. As my event approached, we had our final guest count and I was under the impression that an updated guest count is included under “all arrangements”. What I was not made aware of is that Wild River refuses to adjust guest counts once we signed a contract for their services. This is not something I’ve run into with any other vendor who charges per person fees and our guest count 7 days prior to the wedding was 20% smaller than the original, so it was not a tiny amount of money. When receiving the final invoice I had questions as it didn’t match what I was expecting because of the above issue. They sent me an email pointing out an “overdue” balance that per our contract, was not due yet. They also told me that accepting our contract was a favor to our venue owner, the invoice is what it is, and I can pay it or find someone else 7 days before the event. I felt this interaction was really rude considering what had prompted it. In addition to the above, the bartender wasn’t very friendly any time I spoke with her the day of and after charging us an 18% tip in our contract, they set out a TIP JAR. I would not recommend utilizing their services, especially if you’re a bride looking for a less stressful wedding planning experience.
