About The Downtown Collective
The Downtown Collective
The Downtown Collective Band was established in 2016 as just a couple of guys who wanted to jam out in the attic. We got some small gigs here and there doing hybrid DJ/live music performances. Then we found friends from music school/work that played instruments and made the jam bigger and got more gigs. Now we are known as one of the top bands in the Midwest. We love playing live music because you get a much more authentic experience with people actually playing instruments and sharing what they feel deep down in their soul as they perform! All of our past clients agree- Downtown Collective is a high energy group that gets everyone dancing!
We aren't like your typical band because we like to put the focus on the event and the people involved. We are really good at reading the crowd and mixing our set list up to play music for everyone. The stage and dance floor combines into a community of people having the time of their lives! People are dancing AND singing with us. Yes we are a cover band, but we actually cover the songs and do our own little spins on the arrangements of the songs.

AMAZING BAND
They were amazing for our wedding this year! Had everyone on the dance floor even after the wedding was over. - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We Love Downtown Collective!
We had Downtown Collective play our wedding reception and cocktail hour, and they absolutely blew us away! Their energy was infectious and kept us and our guests dancing and partying throughout the evening! Cornell was an outstanding MC and helped the flow of events run smoothly. A highlight of the night was when they surprised us by learning one of our favorite songs! By the end of the night, everyone was raving about the band. We 100% would book them again and highly recommend Downtown Collective to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience!

Absolutely Amazing
The Downtown Collective band made our wedding reception truly unforgettable with their incredible performance. From start to finish, they exceeded our expectations and created an atmosphere of pure celebration. Performance: The band, consisting of 11 talented musicians, played four 45-minute sets that kept the energy high and the dance floor packed. Their extensive library of songs spanned multiple decades, from classic Rat Pack tunes to pop-punk favorites and hip-hop/R&B standards. This wide range ensured that there was something for everyone to enjoy. Communication & Professionalism: Working with Downtown Collective was a breeze. They were very easy to coordinate with, offering excellent communication throughout the planning process. Their customer platform made it simple to share ideas, sign contracts, and select or modify our song choices. Their professionalism was evident in every aspect of their service. Special Touches: We opted for the cold sparks package, which was a fantastic addition. The sparks were fired off multiple times during the event, including for our grand entrance and at a key moment during our first dance as a married couple. These special effects added a magical touch to our celebration. Open-Air Photo Booth: Another highlight of the package was the open-air photo booth, which was a complete hit with our guests. We loved being able to download all 500 picture strips to cherish. Guests enjoyed the instant printouts and digital copies of their images, making for fun and memorable keepsakes. Guest Interaction: The band’s interaction with our guests was outstanding. They maintained high energy throughout the evening and did a fantastic job of engaging everyone. Their friendly demeanor and “Master of Ceremony” services kept everything running smoothly and added a personal touch to the event. Overall Experience: While not the cheapest option available, Downtown Collective is worth every penny. Their great music selection, fantastic musicians and singers, and overall professionalism made our wedding reception a truly memorable event. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch entertainment that will make their special day extraordinary. Thank you, Downtown Collective, for making our wedding reception so incredible!
