About Mystical Harp

Mystical Harp

Harpist

Weddings are my number one favorite event to play. Why? Because I get such joy out of helping you create the perfect ambiance for your ceremony. Meeting with couples to pick out their wedding songs and watching their reaction as they hear what they know will be "their song" is the best! Oftentimes it evokes tears from at least one person! Just think about it: you've invested a lot of time & money into flowers, attire, seating, decorations, invitations, rings, a wedding officiant, not to mention a venue. Can you imagine how live harp music will add that magic touch as nothing else can?

I am passionate about serving YOU! I fully believe that every wedding ceremony is unique, and should be catered to your needs. I have worked with many other professional musicians who also do weddings & events. Every one of them either makes you choose from a list of repertoire that they have already learned or charges you per EACH song request (usually with a limit of three songs). I think this is completely ridiculous and BACKWARDS!

Questions & Answers 01 Where are you based out of and do you travel? I am based in Muncie, Indiana, but I do weddings through most of Indiana and parts of Ohio as well. I have yet to do a destination wedding outside of the Midwest yet, but I'd be open to the idea. Send me an email, and we'll chat! I do everything from elopements & very small weddings, to very large gatherings.
YES! I love taking requests. It's what I specialize in doing. I want to make the ceremony completely unique to YOU, so you are welcome to pick EVERY single piece if you'd like. I play everything from Bach to Led Zeppelin.
Yes! That is also another favorite of mine! I think outdoor weddings are the best, (no judgement to indoor weddings!) You just have to make sure you have a back-up plan in case of inclement weather, or a covered canopy or something if it is drizzly outside that day.
Although amplification is not usually necessary for most of the weddings I do, it can become important if you have a rather large wedding, or if it is incredibly windy, or if there is a large fountain or something else that would create white noise nearby. And yes, I am happy to bring my own amplification if it is needed.
For most wedding ceremonies, I come an hour or so before I am scheduled to perform and discuss details & timing with the officiant. However, I am happy to come to the rehearsal as an add-on to the ceremony package you have chosen for your peace of mind.
Yes, but it does take a lot of extra effort - the harp is very heavy and sort of bulky. However, I completely understand the beauty of having an intimate wedding in a converted barn loft though! If this is a requirement for your ceremony, just message me and we'll figure out. I can also play in somewhat rugged terrain such as a field, forest, etc.
