The Italian American Club of Livonia was founded in 1977. With membership growing, a momentous decision was made in 1990 to build a new Clubhouse & Banquet facility. With then President, Tony Greco, spearheading the effort, financing was obtained and ground was broken in 1993, culminating with a Grand Opening Gala. We opened in August of 1994 with a beautiful 26,000 square foot, two level facility located on 5.21 acres of land at Five Mile Road and the I-275 Expressway in Livonia, Michigan. The Circ Bar and Root is a gorgeous dual venue that offers an experience unlike anything else. It has rich history dating back to the 1850's where it was most likely the first brewery in Ann Arbor. This historic building combines the original wood, brick, and stone with modern elements to create a stunning industrial bar setting.
