In September 2020, the Edgewood String Quartet was founded in order to perform Covid-safe, socially distanced and masked performances during a time when no other live performances were to be heard. Since then, ESQ has become one of the first quartets to perform not only classical music, but music of all genres: from pop to jazz to anime to Bridgerton, and more.

Dr. Congcong Bi has demonstrated her exceptional musical talent through triumphs in competitions and academic endeavors alike, culminating in the attainment of a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Presently, she imparts her expertise as an educator at both the University of North Georgia and Gwinnett Technical College, all the while actively pursuing research initiatives. Notably, her focus includes a significant project exploring the impact of performance engagement on cancer patients. These achievements underscore Dr. Bi's remarkable synthesis of musical excellence and scholarly dedication.
