Burdoc Farms has been owned and operated by the Shepherd family since 1942. With over 650 acres of open fields there are 2 different venues on the property for weddings. In 2012, the Shepherds hosted a wedding on the family farm. All the guests talked about was how beautiful the farm was and how they should be doing weddings full time. The Shepherd family converted the tobacco-cattle barn into a reception barn with all the amenities; bathrooms, kitchen, and electricity. The Shepherd family painstakingly rehabbed and recycled all of the materials in both barns to enhance and preserve the authenticity of the buildings. After converting the Tobacco Barn, they booked 24 weddings and then the next year they booked 38 weddings. In 2016, they decided to expand the business and build a year-round building, Keith Glen, in another location of the farm. Burdoc Farms hosts 60 to 80 weddings a year with couples coming from all over the country and a few from overseas!

“If you're wanting a venue that is in nature, but not too casual like a barn, nor too fancy like a garden with marble, the Keith Glen venue is for you! It's truly gorgeous & the privacy of being on a large made it feel like we were in a world of our own. The staff was all lovely to work & their relationship is very family oriented (even for those working there that aren't family). They also gave us access to the venue starting at 12am on the day we booked them and only requested we to be out by midnight that night, which is a policy I was super grateful for. Definitely pay extra for the staff to help for clean up! It's 100% worth the money. The only note I have on this venue as whole is: be proactive with the bar because I had to follow up 2-3 times to finally get the initial meeting / follow up done.”

“Very accommodating and excellent communication! I planned the entire wedding from Florida and they made sure I had plenty pictures and videos and floor plans to understand the venue. Any time I had a question, they got back to me in a very timely manner and made me feel like all of my inquiries were heard and understood.”
