IMAGINE YOUR EVENT AT DI ROSA... di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art occupies 217 acres of the original 465 acres of land purchased by Rene di Rosa in 1960. Located in the scenic Carneros Region at the south end of the Napa Valley, di Rosa opened to the public in 1997 as part of Rene di Rosa's vision for an “art park” accessible to the greater public, the property now encompasses multiple galleries, a lush courtyard, and a sculpture meadow that are all protected in perpetuity under the Napa County Land Trust.  di Rosa is pleased to hold private events on the property, including corporate events, retreats, meetings, birthdays, and private rentals.

COMAL is a gathering place located in Berkeley’s bustling Arts District, just north of the Downtown Berkeley BART Station. The restaurant is housed in a single-story building (circa 1927) and features a lush, secluded rear patio with a full bar, covered dining area, and al fresco beer garden with fire pit. Executive Chef Matt Gandin creates earthy, modern interpretations of dishes from throughout Mexico, with emphasis on Oaxaca and neighboring coastal regions. The Club at Castlewood resides on the former estate of California's most beloved hostess, Phoebe Apperson Hearst. Her mansion, La Hacienda del Pozo de Verona was built in the 1890's, The mansion was designed by renowned architect Julia Morgan, the architect for the Hearst Castle at San Simeon. After her death in 1919, her son, William Randolph Hearst, maintained the property. In 1924, he sold it to a group of businessmen who turned it into a Country Club. Two Golf Courses were added, one on the hillside in 1926, and one in the valley in 1948. The Porte Cochere and entryway with its large doors offers an appealing and engaging sense of old-fashioned charm while the Spanish tiled grand lobby is reminiscent of a by-gone era. Offering high ceilings, a 6,000 square foot Ballroom, an additional 2,000 square foot bar and a 2,000 square foot patio area, we are certain that you will have the space needed for your special event.

To support that mission, we rent our space throughout the year for weddings, corporate events, and parties of all kinds. Our space offers a full commercial kitchen, great outdoor space with overhead lighting, and most importantly, a fully stocked bar! The Oakland Scottish Rite Center was completed in 1927, with over a thousand craftsmen working on the project. The construction cost was approximately $1.5 million. This was a sizeable sum at the time equivalent to about $22 million today. From ground breaking to completion the edifice was erected in just two years. This is the second temple in Oakland built from the ground up by the Scottish Rite Masonic fraternity since 1883, when it was first chartered in Oakland.

Oakland has always been a beer town. Once known as the "Milwaukee of the West,” it's a place where hard-working people gather to enjoy locally brewed, fresh beer. Founded in 2009 as Linden Street Brewery, we became the first community-based production brewery in Oakland since Golden West Brewery closed in the 1950s. In 2017, we moved to the Jack London District and rebranded as Oakland United Beerworks. Today, we are proud to continue The Town's great brewing tradition. We have a two tiered indoor space with the upper level mezzanine overlooking the brewery. Seating for approximately 70 people indoors with seating for another 40 people outdoors.
