John, James and the team at SMCC are caring and supportive in making your big day dreams come true, without the stress! Every step of the process was clear, simple and catered to our vision. All staff go above and beyond to ensure all your needs are met, without fuss. SMCC was the perfect venue for our wedding, suitable to comfortably accommodate our large families, yet provide an intimate feel, complemented by the classic early 1900s architecture of the venue. The cocktail and bar area, spaced perfectly from the main hall and dancing area made for a great layout. We were even provided a bridal suite and were able to take advantage of the beautiful summer night and enjoy the lawn for cocktail hour and afterparty with fire pits and a food truck provided by the venue! John and his team at SMCC made our dreams come true, down to every detail, going above and beyond. Everything was personalized to our preferences from the food and drinks, to the layout of the event. James even sewed my father-in-law's pants when they ripped during the reception!!! A true Jack of all trades, and right hand man to have with you on your big day. He always made sure I was taken care of and comfortable, checking in frequently throughout the night to ensure we were satisfied with the service. Bridgewater Manor was an incredible venue for our wedding. Alyssa was amazing - she was very prompt in returning our emails and phone calls, and was incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions throughout the planning process. On the day of our wedding, Alyssa was extremely attentive and made sure I was ready for the ceremony, even helping to put my husband's boutonniere on correctly. I was very nervous right before walking down the aisle, but Alyssa was there to calm my nerves. Adele was also fantastic all night long - he made sure we had food and drinks during cocktail hour and was available to assist us with anything we needed. I never had to hesitate to ask Adele for help. The entire Bridgewater Manor team contributed to making our wedding day so special and stress-free. We are so grateful for their incredible service and attention to detail.

Where do I even begin? We got married at the Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn on May 23, 2024, and it was nothing short of perfect. The entire wedding planning process was made easy thanks to everyone at the Olde Mill Inn and Grain House. They are very responsive, which is crucial when planning a wedding. My grandmother and grandfather had their wedding reception here back in 1957, so I knew I wanted to meet with them to discuss having my wedding there. It was the first and only venue we met with. After going on a tour and discussing the different packages with Lea, I was sold. They take care of your accommodations, catering, bar, cake, tables, chairs, etc. My wedding planning “to-do” list was cut in half! Everyone is so accommodating and they really work with you to make sure your day goes perfectly. So many guests told us how they never experienced wedding food to this level. Everything was DELICIOUS! Better yet, we actually got to eat as the bride and groom. The property itself is gorgeous. John was our Matre d’ and he was the best! He made sure we stayed on time, he ran food from the cocktail hour to me and my husband when we were taking photos, and he coordinated with our vendors so we didn’t have to worry. His efforts did not go unnoticed. Once again I had guests come up to me and tell me how amazing he is. I also had guests reach out after to tell me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. All of our vendors were fantastic but the Old Mill Inn and Grain House really did the bulk of the work to make it an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself was wonderful to stay in, everything was so clean and the breakfast was delicious. I wouldn’t change a thing about my wedding day, everything was perfect and I really have the Old Mill Inn and the Grain House to thank for that. I would recommend the Old Mill Inn and the GrainHouse to anyone planning a wedding. It really is the ONLY choice in my opinion. You will not be disappointed.

Our experience with the Douglaston Manor was an actual dream come true! From the moment we walked in to see the Manor, Kathy, our wedding coordinator, was wonderful. Relaxed, sweet, and so caring about us and what we wanted, she never made us feel pressured or nervous and gently made suggestions which ended up making our night even better than we could have hoped. Working with Carlos our Maitre D and Michelle my Bridal Attendant was a blessing. Michelle was so attentive and helpful. Within minutes of meeting her, I felt like I was spending time with a good friend. She was so funny, kept me calm and literally did anything and everything I needed- most of the time without me having to ask her. The same could be said for Carlos. Just to give a small example, my fake eyelash starting come off a tiny bit. Without any eyelash glue on us, I was nervous about how we would fix the issue but The Manor proved how above and beyond they'd go when Carlos, unpromoted and unknown to me at the time, went out and brought me eyelash glue! It was a small gesture but it went a long way and showed me how devoted the Manor is to their clients. Michelle made sure he knew exactly what to get and she helped me fix it when he came back (which was unbelievably quick as well) . Carlos was fantastic at keeping my group organized and making sure the ceremony was perfect. We are so grateful to both of them. Aside from their exceptional service, the staff at the manor was outstanding- every room was impeccably decorated and arranged exactly as we had hope, all of the items we had brought with us for various aspects of the night were set up perfectly without instruction and the attention to detail was second to none. The food. I am biased seeing as it was my own wedding, but the food was incredible from start to finish. The cocktail hour sampling that Michelle left from my husband and I including EVERYTHING being served downstairs and was presented beautifully- time was clearly taken to make sure we were able to try the food but also have it presented to us in a really special way. Kathy had suggested we try an "off-menu" item, braised beef in a red wine sauce, and no surprise, it was easily the best tasting wedding dinner item I've had at any wedding. There are so many things that go into making a wedding day perfect and that means there are so many things that are easy to stress over. Not once during the planning process or on the big day did I ever feel worried or concerned. Everybody communicated clearly, checked and double checked things and did everything possible to ensure everything was perfect- not just great, but genuinely perfect. Oh, and the cost was VERY reasonable. Kathy worked with us every step of the way to accommodate our budget while making sure the elements we wanted were included. We are looking forward to going back to the manor for future celebrations and feel so thankful to have been treated so well. They made our day everything we ever could have hoped for!
