Based in Staten Island, New York, Cause and The Effects is an enthusiastic band comprised of young musical professionals ready to perform at your wedding. The band was founded in 2011 but the versatile members have been playing together and separately for more than two decades. You can choose between a seven-, eight-, or 10-piece band to perform at your reception, while smaller groups can perform during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Show-stopping music is performed with a variety of instruments such as horns, percussion, saxophones, flute, and piano. They are based in Staten Island but are willing to travel to destination weddings.

The first party I ever did as a DJ was a wedding. I was only 12 years old at the time and was nothing more than just a helper to someone who had the experience I was seeking. Our 2nd album ‘The Life and Times Of...’ was nominated for a Grammy in 2013 and won a Grammy in 2022 for our work on ‘Album of the Year’ winner, Jon Batiste’s ‘WE ARE’.
