“I will just start by saying that hiring the Franklin & Alison Music Band was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding on 5/18/24 at the Atrium of Tenafly! We received so many compliments from all the guests for the quality of the live band we had; and to our joy, the dance floor was always brimming with people. We happened upon the band’s website via The Knot’s suggested music provider list and absolutely loved their sample videos, songs, pictures, and testimonials. From the get go, Laraine was a pleasure to work with - always clear, on point with her answers, considerate, personable, and compassionate. We spoke at length via several phone calls and email exchanges about our history as a couple and our music preferences and then we met in person to go over all the details and narrow down the list of our favorite songs, She paid close attention to the pronunciation of names, nailed the parent dance song suggestions and the timing of the different reception activities. Then Laraine, Keith and the band did an amazing job at compiling an extremely successful playlist customized to our wedding. Katrice’s voice is stunning and so versatile, Sam was the perfect host, Keith was just so fun to chat with, and everyone in the band was just phenomenal! “This review is a tad long so bear with me. I worked with La Mila Catering for my sister’s wedding which was held on 27 July 2024. While planning my wedding a few years ago I knew what to expect and what questions to ask. What I didn’t expect was working with such a lovely and genuine team. I worked with Sandy specifically for catering services only. She’s spunky, lively, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Working with her has been a pleasure and I felt as if I were talking to one of my best friends. Sandy is a great salesperson. She not only explains what La Mila offers but she does it in a way that is transparent and has no unexpected costs and “fine print”. She communicates well and is direct, which I appreciate. She’s a talker and I don’t mean that negatively. She makes you feel like family most sincerely. In terms of planning and coordination, Sandy was excellent and they’re lucky to have her. Menu: When creating the menu my sister wanted Mediterranean food. Now, I believe that their specialty is Mediterranean cuisine, but they do not shy away from other cuisines. Their menu is extensive and will cater to anyone’s taste. Skies the limit! We had quite a bit of offerings for Cocktail hour, Dinner, and Dessert. We were able to have a tasting which helped us narrow down if what was selected previously was what they wanted for the day of the wedding. There we met Elie (E-Lee NOT El-lee) and Heidi, the owners, and Sandy in person. Elie is the head chef and knows what he’s doing in the kitchen. Everything was cooked to perfection; delicious tasting and the portions were filling. Aside from the food it was obvious that Elie and Heidi work hard for their business and are truly dedicated. Day of the wedding: Elie, Heidi and their team worked based on the wedding timeline that I created. They were on time to serve all their food. I can’t tell you how many times I saw Elie walking back and forth to check on food and to bring food. That guy was moving! Heidi did all of the cocktail and dessert table placement and more. They are a hardworking team and I highly recommend them. From start to finish it was easy and perfectly executed. Point blank the food was delicious and I wish they had a restaurant so I could eat there all the time. LOL Thank you again for your friendship, delicious food and professionalism. *I wish I took pictures.”

“Avec L'Amour captured our wedding in June of 2023. We went with Avec L'Amour because we really liked the style and felt the prices were extremely reasonable compared to some of the other videographers out there. We went with the package that included the highlight film and the feature-length film. The audio on the feature-length film is a little tough to hear because of all the background noise, but we were outdoors and in front of a lake, so it’s understandable. While planning for our wedding, we worked directly with John. He had great energy and seemed very prepared every time we interacted with him. However, we never met John in-person because the day before our wedding, he reached out saying he could no longer make it and would be sending a replacement instead. This was understandably very stressful, but fortunately the replacement he sent was awesome. We would have liked to know this update earlier if possible, however we know that’s not always possible, and this was our only complaint in working with him. When John sent us the footage of our wedding, we were so happy with it with the exception of one place where the audio didn’t match up, one place where suddenly the video went purple, and the fact that one of our best man’s speeches was completely left out of the highlight reel; we brought these concerns to John, and he fixed them with no hesitation in a timely manner. Though we can’t review John’s videography or wedding day presence directly, we did have a good experience with his company and would recommend it!”

As part of the planning process, we sought out a preservation artist who could freeze this element of our wedding forever in time. I found Jackie of Evergreen Botanical Studio and her 3-D preservation style matched exactly what I was looking for, so we booked our date with her as soon as we could. She was the PERFECT choice. “Stanley was truly the MOST communicative vendor we worked with throughout this process, from the moment we inquired, to the moment we got our sneak peeks. I always heard back from him usually within minutes (sometimes seconds!), but never longer than an hour or two. I always see the horror stories about brides not receiving their photos or not hearing back, but I never had to worry about that with Stanley. We also got our one minute teaser and about 60(!) sneak peek photos less than 24 hours after our wedding was over (about 1 pm the following day!). I could not believe the speed and they are SO good! His style and Allie’s style is so beautiful and it’s truly bringing our day to life so we will always have physical memories to look back on. Day of, Allie (our main photographer) and Stanley (video) arrived early and got drone shots of the venue and were quick to get to work when they found me in the bridal suite. I had so many photo requests for family photos and they worked fast (despite there being a lot of chatter), and got it all done so quickly. The second shooter (Ryan) was also amazing and had a fun time with my husband and his groomsmen. He also was great at getting shots of some of our family members without us (i.e. my parents, my sister and her family, groom’s parents) so we could be as productive as possible and have family photos, too! We decided to keep them an extra hour (9 hours instead of 8 ) and Stanley came to us about 30 minutes before the end of their service to check since we still had some things in the schedule we hadn’t gotten to yet and had offered and shared the cost to do so. We decided it was worth it and got so many more amazing photos. I cannot wait to see the full album in 8-12 weeks! And I will recommend Stanley and Allie to everyone in the meantime because everyone deserves to have their day captured as beautifully as they did for us!”

“Megan captured our wedding day this past May, and the year prior - also did our engagement shoot. I had high hopes for beautiful sunset photos for our engagement shoot, but of course it ended up being a cloudy day. I didn’t want to reschedule, but no biggie for Megan. She worked her magic and created a mock sunset shoot for us with her lightening. Fast forward to our wedding day. She dealt with our goofy groomsmen, the chaos of having my dogs, a surprise appearance that pushed cocktail hour a half an hour later than expected, day-of changes in shoot locations due to a rainy morning. But through it all, she maintained a go with the flow attitude that kept me level headed all day. Never once did I worry if she capturing what I wanted, or if my photos would turn out okay. I had previews the next day and my whole album is just about a month. I cannot describe how thankful I am for how beautifully she captured the day. “I looked forward to every Tuesday night when my friends and I would gather at Brother Jimmy’s Murray Hill to watch The Barnstorm and dance until we couldn’t feel our feet. I knew in 2017 that one day I would get married and I wanted to recreate this wonderful feeling that I would get every Tuesday night. WELL, joke’s on me because I got that feeling and more. I do not even have words for the atmosphere that The Barnstorm created on our wedding day. Leading up to that day, Brooks was INCREDIBLY attentive to the hundreds of questions that I bombarded him with on a daily basis. He walked me through pricing, how the first dances would go, what kind of music gets played during dinner – every question came with an immediate follow up and a “how are you doing?” – completely above and beyond what a typical wedding band would provide. And that was before our wedding day even happened! The day of was indescribable. The atmosphere provided by The Barnstorm was absolutely electric and had every single person on the dance floor from 8 pm to 1130 pm. I genuinely feel like our wedding was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The band is absolutely magnetic.
