There is nothing quite like the elegance of strings. We recommend string groups for Wedding Ceremonies, Elegant Dinners, and Cocktail Hours. The Celtic Balladeers perform all styles of Irish and Celtic music. In the above sound clip they are captured live (VERY live) on St. Patty’s day at Coogan’s on Broadway. The sound clip features our guitar and tenor banjo duo while the complete band includes several other instrumentalists such as guitar, Irish tenor banjo, accordion, fiddle, bass, drums, bodhran, whistle, pipes, flute, mandolin, keyboard, horns, vocalists and dancers. Besides the standard, and county specific Irish material they can also perform a whole catalog of American dance music.

String 18 is a perfect trio for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and dinners. Their repertoire includes Classic Rock, Contemporary Pop, Latin, Jazz, and Classical. With three acoustic guitars they create vibrant musical arrangements that range from the elegance of a String Quartet to the fire of the Gipsy Kings. Margot Varret is a uniquely gifted performer with both her voice and harp. As a native born French speaker she is expert in the repertoire of Chanson made famous by iconic artists like Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour. She is also a fabulous classic jazz singer who renders the classics of the great American songbook with a signature French flair. She regularly sells out Birdland Theater leading her own group.

In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. We are Mark and Courtney, New Jersey based Cinematographers, and now married couple. I have a healthy addiction to deep snow and frozen nose hairs. Most think I'm crazy, but on those truly frosty mornings the mountains are a magical place to be. During the warmer months, when I'm not behind the lens, you can usually find me hiking in the mountains or fishing in the salty waters of Maine and New Hampshire. These days I call the Mad River Valley of Vermont home. My skill set is very high because this is my full time profession and has been my whole life. Not just a hobby. However, I don’t come to an event with the intention of playing every style I know.
