Shelley Elena Photography

I’m Shelley, a woman who has been fundamentally changed by love, and I suspect that you’re here because love has changed you too. It’s nice to meet you, fellow human full of brilliance and eccentricities. I’m a native Austinite, an extrovert who revels in meeting new people (but also appreciates alone time now that I have children), and an earnest optimist who thrives on seeing the gold in others.

I cannot say enough great things about Shelley! First off, she is so personable and kind. Second, her pictures speak for themselves. We met her at an open house and when I took a look at her look book I loved the candid shots, they were so natural and happy. Fast forward to a month before wedding day, we met up, had coffee and great conversation. I just knew we made the right decision. Come wedding day, SHE WAS AMAZING. It was a running joke between my husband and I that she was everywhere, but I didn’t even notice her, where he knew where she was at all times. I haven’t gotten back my photos yet since we just got married but I have no doubt they will be amazing. She sent us 2 preview photos 2 hours after our wedding ended and holy moly they were amazing. I got so many compliments from guests about how awesome Shelley was. At one point when it was time to go get announced and start the reception I looked at her and said “I feel so socially drained so I am going to take a minute before we go in” without a beat she said “if you need to step away give me a sign and I will pull you away”. She was more than a photographer to us on our day, she was our friend and the comfort we needed.

One thing about me is that I am going to cry at your wedding. It is a fact. We are going to laugh, we are going to have fun, and I am going to make sure you have your best day ever while I document it for you to have and to hold forever and ever. While your portraits are going to be beautiful, it's the candid moments, those core memories, that I am to capture when no one else is looking.

J Grover Co excellent photographers, Jacqueline and her team are a step above. From contacting her to having our event which was a vow renewal. Jacqueline has a truly artistic eye and I greatly appreciate it capturing moments that are once in a lifetime. Excellent communication, great service, and kindness. We had a hurricane coming in hours after of the day our vow renewal. So there was so much rain that day and heat. The didn’t run away lol. Her team accommodated and made things easy for us. The pictures are gorgeous . I’m disabled and she and her team were able to accommodate that. The sneak peak pictures look wonderful. The beauty and love of the day is what is recorded. 10 out of 10 recommend using J Grover Co for your wedding or events photography

Our small team of award-winning photographers and videographers celebrate the candid, authentic beauty of your day. Because when you look back on your album you should remember the fun, easy, imperfect, personal moments that make you, you -- not how long you had to pose.

Adam and team were fantastic. They helped everything go so smoothly and all the guests raved about the team's work ethic and persona. Adam literally stepped up to help with our day of timeline to ensure we arrived to locations on time, kept our group calm, and made great suggestions as to photo ideas. We love the photos and videos and will cherish them forever, along with the positive memories!

Matt was suggested to us by close friends. I checked out his website and fell in love with the style and vivid colors of his photos. I sent Matt an e-mail one night and he responded the next morning. We set up a time to talk about the venue and colors. We had our wedding at a local venue, The Gardens At West Green, and had our ceremony and reception there. I gave a deposit, via Venmo, to hold my date and got the contract signed. I paid the remaining amount two weeks before the Wedding. Matt showed up to the venue early and captured set up. I explained I was nervous and wasn't sure what to expect since I'm not used to having all eyes on me! Lol Matt reassured me that was normal and to try and act like he isn't there. Matt was super flexible and so much fun! Everyone at the wedding loved him. Pricing was very reasonable and well worth his professionalism and quality of photos! Matt captured so many amazing moments; Anthony and I are having trouble choosing which ones to get prints of! Matt really captured the essence of our wedding! I can't say enough! Thanks again!

Artistically documenting your genuine moments! I started this business over six years ago with humble intentions. The nostalgia I felt for my own personal documented memories was something I wanted to share with others. Your story and its uniqueness matter, which is why I capture your moments with creativity and intentionality. I value authentic connection which allows those I photograph to truly be themselves in front of the camera. I want to bring your vision to life so you can preserve it for a lifetime.

If you're in the market for a photographer to capture all of your big life moments, look no further. Robyn was a true blessing all around. We booked her for our engagement photos, my bridals, and the best day of our lives, our wedding. I never thought someone could capture our love so effortlessly, but she went above and beyond. Not only did we get pictures we will cherish for years to come, but we also gained a friend throughout the process. She made us laugh, kept things light and had some of the best ideas that made the for the best pictures. I can NOT wait to hire her again for future sessions. I'm Nicole, an intimate wedding, destination, and elopement photographer passionate about capturing your story, personality, and vision. I hate productions and going through the motions. I invest in you and capture your day true to you!

Working alongside Nicole is always a total joy. She is collaborative, kind, encouraging, creative and personable. She feels like a friend who just picked up a camera and started documenting the day for you. She isn't all about "her shots" or the industry trends, she is first and foremost an advocate for meaningful, memorable celebrations, and is deeply in tune with the vision of her couples. She has an eye for detail and each photo is equally candid in emotion and composed like art. Her knowledge and expertise far exceeds many other photographers in the industry and I would highly recommend her to any couple looking to elope or host an intimate wedding that feels completely true to them.

Wedding photography is so much more than snapping a few frames. It's about being a part of the experience, making connections, and meeting new people. Whether it's laughter, joy, or romance, there is nothing better than being able to show what a couple's love is all about through images. I care about the moments first and foremost. Let's create some magic, make memories, and have an experience that you won't soon forget!

John is the best! Our wedding pictures came out better than I could have imagined. He is incredibly responsive, open to your ideas and suggestions, and goes above and beyond. I’m a hopeless romantic that's in an international long-distance marriage for almost ten years. I really enjoy documenting weddings. It’s one giant Rubik's Cube of composing interesting images, telling family history, figuring out the optimal light, and just getting to know people. My passion is to keep pushing my art and create a timeless product you will still cherish 50 years from now. I want to create honest photos that capture the realness of your relationships. I want to do more than tell a story, I want to capture the feelings and emotions of the day. I want to capture your quirkiness, your happiness, and the quiet moments in between.

Sam took the time to get to know me and my fiancé and totally got our vibe. It was clear that he had studied my wedding photography Pinterest board, had seen and understood my vision for wedding photos that were more elevated and editorial than some of the more typical wedding photographs. We have gotten non-stop compliments on our wedding photos but more importantly, my fiancé and I LOVE them. They are the perfect representation of us. And now for businessy things: Sam was punctual, always on time (usually early!) for everything from initial calls to the actual day of. He was SO polite and patient when our relatives were being annoying and asking him to take a photo on their iPhones. (eye roll, sorry Sam!!!) He was great a corralling the crowd for group portraits and he was not intrusive at all during the ceremony. Honestly, I kind of forget he was even there. It's clear that he takes pride in his work and we felt really lucky to get to have him on our wedding. TLDR: Sam slayed this and I would recommend him to everyone

Betsy Y. Photo

  • Serves Manor, TX

My interest in photography sparked when I was young as I watched my dad photograph everything around him. I asked for my first camera when I was 8 years old, and from the first moment it was in my hands, I couldn't put it down. I photographed EVERYTHING from bugs to people to Beanie Babies, filling shoeboxes with negatives and little 3x5 prints. After coloring "backdrops" on notebook paper for each beanie babie and having a full-on photo shoot, I knew photography would be a part of my life forever. :P I photographed my first wedding in November, 2008: over 200 weddings, 7 countries, and 20 states later, and I am still loving every second.

Betsy is the most genuine human I know. She will share in your journey, not just show up for your wedding photos. She communicates clearly and often, especially if you’re out of state from her. She went above and beyond for our engagement photos and wedding weekend. The images and moments she captures don’t compare to other photographers and her style is so rich and emotional. We will use her for the rest of our lives and would travel to see her just to work together again!

I’m Marisa. A cheeseburger lovin' native Texan. A little lady who will capture wonderful moments for you (on my tip toes 90% of the time) and will smile at you a lot in hopes that it will make you smile too. :)

Marisa was the absolute best person we worked with for our wedding. She is professional, communicative, kind, friendly, organized, and prompt. From our initial message reaching out to her to our final pictures post-wedding and all of the in-between with engagement and bridal photos, she is without a doubt our favorite wedding vendor. She’s fun to work with during and outside of photos. During, she has a very calm demeanor of a true professional who’s seen it all and is unfazed by the chaos that is wrangling family for photos. She also made our engagement and bridal photo shoot super fun. Outside, she communicates quickly and kindly and was well organized. She was so organized that if she had told us she did wedding coordination, we would have paid her on the spot. I cannot say enough good things about her and I’m confident we’ve found our go-to photographer for as long as she’ll have us.

I'm a wedding and elopement photographer that loves to capture all the feelings you least expect - the laughs you don't anticipate and the tears (the good kind) you didn't see coming. I create imagery that doesn't just bring you back to a moment, but to an exact feeling. I'm here to document your story exactly as you live it.

We found Jessica through our venue’s Instagram and never looked back. She’s got an editorial eye and was perfect for our shared vision of our wedding photos. So much so that we ended up broadening our contract to include engagement photos and a separate ceremony from the big day. Jessica not only took beautiful photos on all three occasions, but really worked with us to ensure we were comfortable and getting the shots we really wanted. If you’re looking for a local photog, we couldn’t recommend her enough. And, if you’re able to fly her out for out-of-town projects, she’s just as flexible! Thank you Jessica!

Hey there, I'm Bethany – a passionate photographer with a heart for all things wild and adventurous. I love capturing the genuine, unscripted moments that make wedding days beautifully unique. With over 300 weddings under my belt, I can truthfully say that not a single one has been the same and each one requires it’s own attention to detail. Every love story is its own masterpiece, and I'm here to bring yours to life through photographs that speak to the heart. I love encapsulating the raw emotions, the bursts of laughter, the stolen glances, and the unbreakable bonds between!

We love Bethany so much! My now husband and I rarely take photos so we didn’t have a clue how to pose or anything before we met Bethany! She made our engagement shoot so much fun by posing us, coaching us through the whole shoot and we shared a lot of laughs. We ended up with amazing shots we cherish now and forever. THEN come our wedding day, she was so EFFICIENT. We didn’t want to spend several hours on posed photos, just wanted to capture a few frame worthy shots with the family, and the rest was candid throughout the night which we REALLY appreciated. We got to enjoy our night with family and friends and we can’t wait so see the amazing shots she captured with her assistant. I would recommend her as a photographer time and time again!

Kayla Snell Photography

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $10,000
  • Serves Manor, TX

Hi, I’m Kayla! I moved to Austin in 2013 to pursue my career as a graphic designer (and eat all the tacos/pet all the dogs). While working as a designer at an Austin start-up, I directed and photographed marketing campaigns for the brand’s clothing line. During this time, I realized I was happiest when I was connecting and shooting with people. I transitioned to wedding photography after a childhood friend asked me to document her wedding in 2014. I was immediately drawn to the energy, emotions, and connection that I witnessed at the wedding. After that, I decided to dive headfirst into becoming a wedding photographer and never looked back!

Kayla was the absolute perfect match for us. We had our engagement and wedding photos completed with her, and we were looking at many different photographers. However, I fell in love with her effortless mixture of posed and candid shots. The entire way through the process, Kayla reaches out and communicates with you and helps you choose your engagement outfits/where to get them done. She also helps you with your wedding timeline and asks for a must have photo list. She has great informative material she sends you to help you with all your choices. I thought our engagement photos went well, but whenever she sent them back to us, I WAS STUNNED. I absolutely love them. They are such great quality and I have them printed out all over our house. Kayla is SO easy to work with and so full of joy and encouragement. She tells you exactly how to pose. She makes the entire process so fun and exciting. I cannot recommend Kayla enough! For our wedding, we had so many setbacks through our entire weekend – that we were pushed to have a backyard wedding and it looks like nothing even went wrong. I LOVE her work and I LOVE our wedding pictures. I will treasure them forever, and I will be recommending her to everyone I can tell about her work. HIRE HER FOR ANY PICTURES – she will not disappoint! Thank you so much, Kayla!!

Creatrix Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Manor, TX

Creatrix Photography is an LGBT wedding photography company that focuses on creating intimate, vibrant, and authentic imagery. Humans that hire us are looking to avoid the cookie-cutter style that is so popular. It's about developing friendships, having a blast and, of course, creating amazing custom art.

The path in which we discovered Jen was so extraordinary - We live in San Diego, CA but we were getting married in Texas. Since my in-laws live in Texas I told my mother n law "Find me a photographer who captures moments." She went on to do a LOCAL search for a wedding photographer on google - My in laws live in San Antonio but somehow Jen (whose business stated Austin) popped up. When I saw her photos, I said THATS WHAT I WANT! Now almost a year later, Jen's photos are all over our house - in large CANVAS prints. Jen has the most amazing talent and ability to create stories in her pictures - her photos truly do capture the moments. One of my absolute favorite photos of our wedding was how Jen was able to capture a tear falling down my husbands cheek. The attention to detail is outstanding. On the day of our wedding she worked SO hard - she was in GAME mode - She knew exactly what she was doing and because I had so much confidence in her talent, I just let her do her thing. The photos she captured will forever hold memories for us. I can honestly say that since we are approaching our first year wedding anniversary, I have looked back on her photos probably over a thousand times to remember the moments. Trust me - these photos are not just valuable for the day or months to come or sharing on social media or with family - they are extremely valuable in your own home. You will need her photos to look back on and remember what it was like. I can't wait until another opportunity arises (hopefully a prego/baby photo session in the future) where my husband and I can fly out to Jen to do another shoot - Yep - that's how much she's worth. I would fly out to do a session with her in a heartbeat <3

Lauren Parr Photography

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,500

I specialize in lifestyle and wedding photography for those that value bold and charming imagery. I take a documentary, candid approach and my editing style showcases timeless, vibrant colors with a hint of mood. I have two dogs, I love to travel and spend time outdoors. I enjoy drinking kombucha and listening to 70s music. I'm an enneagram 3 and a sagittarius if that's more your thing.

If you want to be able to relive your wedding day, and feel the love and excitement all over again, Lauren Parr is a must as she truly captures the energy of the day! She encapsulates the pure emotions of every person. My husband and I have never felt photogenic, and are very critical when it comes to ourselves in photos. Lauren put us at ease immediately from our engagement photos, and was so fun to have around on the wedding day. Our photos showcase the beauty of our venue, and the beauty in me and my husband's genuine smiles enjoying each other and this special day. It's amazing at how Lauren and her assistant can be both all over the place capturing all the magic, and non existent at the same time. Some quick background on me - I spent almost 2 decades in the film industry, so I was very particular when choosing a photographer. I had FULL respect and trust for Lauren's craft and her eye. We have photos in our wedding album where people comment how they belong on the cover of a magazine. She simply is extraordinary. Please know that when you hire Lauren, you are not going to receive photos, you're going to receive ART commemorating your special day! If you can't tell, I can't recommend her enough!

Do you want total confidence that you can TRUST your photographer to not only document your wedding (duh), but to also be a helpful and friendly person to hang out with for 8+ hours on your wedding day? Are you looking for someone who truly “gets” you and brings out the most special, quirky, and fun parts of your relationship? And are you excited to work alongside someone who can help you make the BEST informed decisions while planning your wedding? I like to remind my couples to look around and enjoy every bit of their engagement and wedding day. And while you’re taking in the moment, I’ll be right beside you photographing it ALL!

Lauren was absolutely one of my favorite vendors to work with for my wedding. I've always loved taking photos and I knew I had to hire someone I could trust to capture all the special moments on my wedding day. Not only did Lauren knock this out of the park - my entire family and friends cannot get over how beautiful and candid our previews turned out!! I am absolutely over the moon with these photos and cannot stop looking at them. (I'm pretty sure I'll lose my mind when my entire gallery is delivered.) Lauren was so fun and easy to work with during our engagement pictures and on our wedding day. I would hire her again in a heartbeat. (My husband is already trying to plan any excuse to get our pictures taken again, that's how you know she's a keeper.) We loved having you be a part of our wedding Lauren!!

Briana Purser Photography

Honest storytelling meets editorial portraiture is the core of what I do. I love a powerful portrait as much as I love real, honest exchanges between loved ones. The big moments get all the attention but what really fills my cup is the small, fleeting moments in between. Your wedding day is just 24 short hours & I want you to relax, be present, & soak it all up. Trust that I will be your eyes & ears, observing it all & documenting your day as it unfolds organically. Because in the end, your photographs will be the memory you are left with & the best ones will not only remind you of what the day looked like, but what it FELT like to be there.

Briana did an amazing job capturing special moments from our wedding. We couldn't be happier with our photos! Nothing felt posed or overproduced, and it resulted in natural, artful photos that beautifully captured all of the emotions of the day. Briana and her team also had such a calming presence on the day of the wedding, and it made me feel at ease, as I don't always love being in the spotlight or being photographed. Briana is incredibly talented, and we're so grateful that she was part of capturing our wedding day!

I highly recommend this company to take photos at your wedding! We loved our photographer Percy. He was incredible, and so helpful. He came with several cameras and valued all of our ideas, and when we became stumped he offered ideas for us to try as well. He was very professional, kind, caring, and always on top of the game taking photos. Towards the end of our night he started to put the camera away and brought it back out to catch a few final moments. He was on top of responding to all questions before, during, and after. He took photos of me and my husband before the ceremony and got some wonderful shots (it was a 95 outside wedding so this was much appreciated because we all had some sweat on our faces). But before we got Percy and our booking process with eivans it was super simple, and just an overall great experience.

We are so, so happy we went with Ryan- he worked with us on our specific needs and requests, offering suggestions that made our photos come out even better than we could have imagined! Our situation was a bit unconventional; he was flexible and he created a nice narrative with a really beautiful aesthetic offering a rich variety of photos in only an hour time. Ryan captured our family with candid shots and also provided guidance, which was helpful. He also worked great with our 5 year old, keeping him engaged and making it fun. We will be absolutely reaching out to him for our next photos!!
