I met Jamie while he was DJing at a venue in Manhattan many moons ago. I was immediately pleased with the music he chose and went up to the booth and we got to talking about music and art. He was so easy going and truly in tune with the beat of the venue. We kept in touch and I then went to several more of his venues where he was DJing with friends and also with my (now) husband. When we decided to get married and keep it really small our one must-have was excellent music because we love dancing but are not fans of standard wedding DJ music. I immediately contacted Jamie and on short notice he was able to schedule a meeting with us to discuss our needs. Jamie came prepared with a list of questions and helped us work through the different moods we wanted to set and organized the music choices. We gave him some ideas and he did the legwork of deciding what specific songs would lead into each of the unique parts of a wedding and reception (dancing, eating, more dancing, only the young people dancing, etc.). To this day my husband and I talk about how much fun we had at our wedding and how we were really able to make every piece of it ours - right down to the music that was not pulled off some Billboard chart but that truly reflected us and the people in our lives. In fact Jamie was so great the venue asked if he would be willing to come back and DJ some of their future events :)

Daryl was wonderful to work with and made our big day even more special. During our search for a DJ, he responded right away and was upfront with his pricing. He even offered us packages to include photobooth and lights at a very reasonable cost. Daryl offered to meet with us several times throughout our wedding season to help us plan out the day. He was very organized and provided us a template to help us plan out what songs we would want played and ordering of events.  During the big day, Daryl kept us and our guests out dancing the whole night.  He played all of our requested songs and kept up with the vibe of the crowd and set up a wonderful playlist. He even took videos and photos throughout the day and surprised us with an Instagram reel that we have cherished and has allowed us to relive the day. Also, Rick was so good at staying in contact with me leading up to the big day and making sure all details were perfect. They were very professional, safe, and flexible with us planning a wedding during a pandemic. They worked with us as we changed our date and venue and made sure their set-up allowed for safe distancing between them and guests. You have to use them for your wedding or event!

I had seen Atomic Funk Project perform at two other weddings in the past, and when it came time for our own wedding it was a no-brainer to hire them for our event, too. Simply put, they are the perfect wedding band. The dance floor was never empty and, four weeks later, our guests (of all ages) are still talking about how great the band was that night. Not only are they extremely talented, but their management team is a pleasure to work with. We had very unique song requests for walking down the aisle and our first dance, and they crushed it just as much as the classics and pop hits! We had so much fun at our wedding last month! We had everybody out on the dance floor the whole time. The best part was when the singers would walk out into the audience and include us in the performance. We were singing at the top of our lungs and just having the bet time. Great performers, and great customer service on the planning side. Liz came through for us at every turn and knew exactly what to do, we didn't stress at all (not about the music, at least!! haha) In the end, I wouldn't have changed one single moment about my wedding.
