Genn Shaughnessy is a Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist with 25+ years in the TV & Film, Beauty, and Wedding industry that helps people look and feel beautiful in front of the camera. Genn is an international stylist with multiple credits to her name but one of her prized accomplishments is the creation of her own makeup brand, Backstage Stylist Cosmetics and her home Studio, Backstage Studios & Academy.

I have been a hair stylist focused in the fashion and celebrity world of New York city for the past 18 years. I specialize in hair styling for red carpet events such as the Oscars, as well as photo shoots for publications such as Vogue, including the cover of Brides Magazine. I also have been featured in New York Mag Wedding Edition since 2010, and passionately enjoy bringing my versatile skill set to my brides. I am now based in Stamford CT, and work both remotely and in salons in New York and CT.
