“Kelton from Marquee Artists was amazing! He was a communicative and active participant in the planning of the music and the announcements at my wedding on March 9. Kelton provided an extensive list of potential songs to play in a shared Google Document with columns for “play” and “do not play” which was great. Also, I was impressed that he attended the walk through of the Whittemore House a month prior to the wedding, asking pertinent questions of the Whittemore staff about the placement of various things and how best to provide the sound amplification that would be needed. He provided wireless mics which worked really well for the toasts. Kelton did a great job as the master of ceremony and his mix of the selected music was fun and fabulous. He had the crowd dancing, rocking to the music. Many of the older folks told me that they hadn’t danced in years but were having lots of fun doing so then. Having him on our wedding team instilled so much confidence in me, my daughter and new son-in-law, who is an amateur DJ. They were so taken by Kelton that, if possible, they would like to attend future events at which Kelton is the DJ!! I HIGHLY recommend him.”

Not only did they all make the trip, they also were very easy to work with throughout the entire planning period and wedding weekend. The set up was incredible and they even took some song requests to make everything feel very special. Jason MC'd the wedding and did a killer job. There was not one moment that the dance floor was empty and they truly brought the best energy and talent. Music was one of our biggest priorities for the wedding day and our expectations were blown away. David was very collaborative, helping us to plan the perfect set list and answering all of our questions leading up to the day. “Hoi Polloi - 10/10 having a band was super important to us. Hoi Polloi was everything we could have hoped for and more! They played all the music we asked for and were great to work with from the start. We booked them for our ceremony, our cocktail hour, and had 11 people with horns and a DJ. They were fantastic to work with and we loved working with them. Jim is super responsive which makes a difference. He made sure the band knew all the music we wanted to play and they even interacted with guests (which I loved).They are also VERY reasonably priced and should probably charge more! They were great. I think the biggest compliment is that people from all ages kept saying they loved them which was perfect to me. They opened with Runaround Sue which is one of the best wedding songs in the world. Everyone got on the dance floor once that song came on and they didn’t leave.”

And that’s just who he is from a business standpoint. In terms of his abilities as a DJ, let’s just say the dance floor was packed all night and people were disappointed the night had to end. He even got my dad to dance; it was literally the first time in my life I’ve seen my dad dance. SIMON’S THAT GOOD. We received so many compliments from all the guests for the quality of the live band we had; and to our joy, the dance floor was always brimming with people. We happened upon the band’s website via The Knot’s suggested music provider list and absolutely loved their sample videos, songs, pictures, and testimonials. From the get go, Laraine was a pleasure to work with - always clear, on point with her answers, considerate, personable, and compassionate. We spoke at length via several phone calls and email exchanges about our history as a couple and our music preferences and then we met in person to go over all the details and narrow down the list of our favorite songs, She paid close attention to the pronunciation of names, nailed the parent dance song suggestions and the timing of the different reception activities. Then Laraine, Keith and the band did an amazing job at compiling an extremely successful playlist customized to our wedding. Katrice’s voice is stunning and so versatile, Sam was the perfect host, Keith was just so fun to chat with, and everyone in the band was just phenomenal!
