I have studied fine art photography long before I ever started taking portraits of other people and shooting weddings. Fine art photography was my beginning, creating conceptual and authentic art that spoke to me and told my story was what I started with and then I started blurring that line between fine art and documentary. I started documenting other people and their lives in the same way that I created my own work intended for shows and galleries. I started my career in beauty going to cosmetology school directly after high school. For me it was a quick way to hit the job market as a young single mother. If you asked me back then I would have said "beauty school is just a way to pay for college". After graduating BS and working in a salon I started college soon to realize that beauty was my absolute calling. I was scouted by a photographer and started shooting every week. I then made my way into NYMBFW. After that, two years in I booked my first celeb client. There really was no looking back after that, I fell in love! In 2014 I glammed my first bride realizing this was my calling!
