This magnificent Georgian-style home was built in 1914 for Cornelius Vanderbilt Truitt, a financier, and businessperson, by P. Thornton Marye, whose most famous project was the design of The Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta. In 1937, the house was purchased by Nasour and Mary Mansour, the first generation of dry goods merchants known regionally for their Mansour’s Department Stores, first in LaGrange and then in other major cities in the region. The Truitt Vanderbilt Club has an incredible array of unique and experiential rooms, nooks, porches, crannies, lawns, and one-of-kind spots to make your special event very special. With retro styling and true southern charm, Wood Lakeside Events offers a wedding and event venue designed to make your day perfect. Rustic venue lakeside, our barn is secluded on 43 acres just for your wedding day. Outdoor ceremony and indoor reception in our open air barn.

We offer a beautiful rustic chic barn with bridal and grooms suite. We offer indoor or outdoor sites. We have a doctor closet full of simple and elegant decor that you can use free of charge. You get use of the venue all day on Friday from 9am-9pm to set up the space and make it your own. You also get a day of coordinator that is included in the price. She will come on Friday to do a rehearsal for your bridal party. On Saturday you get use of the venue from 9am until midnight. We provide you with staff during your wedding to help with anything that needs to be done. You also get two parking attendants and golf cart service for an hour prior to your wedding.

We are a new venue in Warm Springs, Georgia. We have two options for weddings- a fully enclosed chapel or outside in front of our beautiful arbor. We also have a covered porch for the reception. We have a separate bridal suite with 5 vanity stations, a groom's room, restrooms, and a kitchen. The Venue includes an enclosed 2,200-square-foot chapel, men's and women's restrooms, a prep kitchen, and a groom’s suite. Attached to the event space is a covered 2,400 square-foot porch. There is also a separate 800-square-foot bridal suite. The venue can accommodate 150 total guests. Weddings can be held at the outdoor ceremony site or in the fully enclosed chapel.
