Sue's love of flowers traces back to her childhood, where she immersed herself in the whimsical garden of her Aunt Cecilia, the namesake of our business. Nestled in a small garden in Central NY, Sue cultivated a profound appreciation for the unique beauty and nuances of individual flowers. As a certified floral designer trained at FlowerSchool NY, Sue’s floral design business has become synonymous with exquisite floral arrangements, gracing events throughout the tri-state area. Her journey started at the age of six years old, Melissa-May was surrounded by all aspects of creativity. Her ability to visualize things, put them onto paper and create anything from scratch was also apparent at a young age when she completed an illustration of her dream house, then constructed an entire floor plan and a model house made out of popsicle sticks. Furthermore, at the age of 12, her friend’s mother noticed Melissa-May’s gift of artistry and requested that she create cartoon place cards for her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. She later was asked to create the invitations and centerpieces for her best friend’s Debutant ball.
