My passion for photography and weddings began when I was very young. I staged Barbie weddings, making their dresses from Kleenex, then snuck Mom’s camera to take pictures of them. Heirloom, first came about when I, (Jess speaking), thought about my parents and their love for gardening. Every year, my parents planted their own heirloom seeds, from the previous year, for their garden. They had all sorts of varieties of tomatoes, peppers, and so on. They also planted extra seeds to share plants with family, friends, and neighbors. There is so much meaning and love behind it all that it was a perfect fit, Heirloom Mke became our name.
