The Venue at Maison du Lac opened in 2018 on a former llama farm. The historic Stone House that hosts the wedding suite was built in the 1840s, and gives rustic charm and elegant glamour for every couple to start their day in style. The additional lake cottage gives both of the engaged partners a space to prepare for the day with their wedding party. In The Venue, we can seat up to 300 in a beautiful, modern space with centerpiece options available. There are multiple ceremony locations, including The Overlook beside the lake and the chandelier-lit barn.

From the moment we first reached out to The Venue At Maison Du Lac, Jessi was incredibly responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions. The venue communication helped make our planning process easy and stress free. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely dock on the lake, bride/groom suites and amazing ceremony and reception spaces. Jessi worked seamlessly with our vendors to ensure our day ran smoothly, and we were thrilled with how everything turned out. This venue truly helped bring our wedding vision to life and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received there. The Venue At Maison Du Lac is truly a special place, and we highly recommend it to any couple looking for an idyllic wedding location.

One of the most unique features of Piazza Messina is the seamless transition from an indoor to outdoor setting, including a wraparound covered portico with a view of the lake. Outdoor amenities includes accent lighting, fountain, pergolas, firepits, beautiful natural landscaping & our own "Luccheti d’Amore." Piazza Messina offers a “destination” type setting without having to travel hours away. Lakeside Wedding sites are offered on the property, as well as a bridal cottage to get ready for the big day on-site. Situated in quaint, historic downtown Cottleville, our property is conveniently located on State Highway N and very secluded, surrounded by groves of trees.

I can't say enough great things about The Piazza Messina—it was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, everything went smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Planning our wedding was a breeze, thanks to Avery and Mark. They were so responsive and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. We never felt overwhelmed or stressed, which is a huge win, especially while in the middle of our last year of college. The staff were incredible—quick, efficient, and super friendly. They took care of everything so seamlessly that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Jeff met my parents when they visited the venue for a meeting and they mentioned how friendly and easy he was to talk to. They knew what we needed before we even asked. Since the venue is owned by Russo’s Catering, the food was fantastic. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. The bar service was equally impressive; drinks were served smoothly and they even included our signature drinks. The ceremony was stunning because the venue itself was gorgeous, and we even had the delightful surprise of deer peeking through in the background. It added a magical touch that our guests are still talking about. Even though we weren’t there to see it, we heard the cleanup was done in record time. The staff’s efficiency was clear, and it was great knowing they handled everything so well. I even got to talk to Justin who was overseeing our event and was ensuring every detail was how we wanted it. Overall, The Piazza Messina made our wedding day truly unforgettable. If you’re looking for a venue with fantastic service, amazing food, and a beautiful setting, this is the place. We’re so grateful for everything they did and couldn’t recommend them more!

I highly recommend Marriott STL West as a venue for your wedding / wedding reception. We had both our ceremony and reception there on NYE. The ballroom is clean and beautiful. The food included with the package was amazing! Way better quality than traditional “hotel food”. Multiple guests thought we had it catered! The staff is wonderful!!! Maggie is so easy to work with and helpful. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but the staff really made this experience painless!

My husband and I could not have asked for a better experience in planning our wedding reception. I don't even know where to begin. Nancy made the booking process absolutely seamless. Molly, our coordinator, was kind, attentive, and professional. We barely had lift a finger! Our decorations were gorgeous, and we used all of the LiUNA's items. Aside from our seating chart, guest book, and a neon sign, we didn't have to bring in or set up a single thing. Molly made us feel like the only couple she was working with. The monthly free tastings allowed us to try many different possible menu items (and, hello, who doesn't love multiple free dinners?!). The food was delicious. Our DJ, who was included in our package, did an excellent job. My husband and I really just wanted to throw a big party for our favorite people, and that was exactly what we got! However, you can really customize your reception with the LiUNA. Had we wanted to bring in our own centerpieces, decorations, etc., we totally could have. Finally, we felt like the price per head that we paid was extremely reasonable. I wish we could relive our reception over and over again. Thank you, LiUna staff!

The Hilton delivers it all! We loved that their wedding package includes catering, bar, tables, chairs, linens/etc., which really reduced some of the wedding planning stress. (They do allow couples to rent their own if they have a different vision.) Also, their event coordinators are very experienced and gave great recommendations in planning and in managing the day of the event. We truly enjoyed our day because the team at the Hilton Frontenac was handling everything so wonderfully! Our guests loved that they could stay in the same place as the wedding reception, and everyone reported having a great stay with the hotel. As bride and groom, we loved being able to go right upstairs to change shoes, etc. We even had leftover wedding cake brought up to our room which was a real treat! In addition to the wedding reception, we hosted our rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch at the Hilton. True to form, they did an amazing job, and the convenience factor really added to an enjoyable experience! The Hilton Frontenac can do it all! They have practically everything you need for your wedding planning and their team executes it expertly. Some people say that their wedding day flies by because there is so much going on. Because of the amazing staff and experience provided by the Frontenac Hilton, we truly enjoyed every minute of our day! We recommend them wholeheartedly!!!

Cedar Creek was above and beyond what we could have asked for in a venue. Our biggest priority when looking at venues was that all of our guests could stay on site, and that it was a beautiful venue with indoor/outdoor options for ceremony and reception. When we found Cedar Creek, we were instantly in love, and knew it was our venue. We could not have anticipated how hospitable they would be before and especially on our wedding weekend. Mark is an incredibly kind and generous property manager. He made quite a few accommodations for my husband's grandparents, drove them pretty much everywhere on the golf cart, and went above and beyond for all of our other guests. Sky is the best day of coordinator we could have asked for. She was calm, present, and very organized. She was able to keep me (an event manager myself) calm and unaware of any issues that were occurring. Our timeline ended up being off for the reception, and she came in with a plan for us, instead of asking what we wanted to do. I could not have gotten through the day without her! There are countless other moments where she was incredibly helpful, but that one stuck out the most to us. Chef Todd is an incredible chef. We cannot praise him enough, and got lots of compliments from our guests! He was accommodating for all of our dietary restrictions, makes incredible breakfasts as well, and overall did a fantastic job. All of the other staff that we encountered was also so hospitable and kind. If you are looking at getting married, we cannot recommend Cedar Creek enough. Your guests will love it, and so will you!
